Just got a call from Zulfi from bachoo motors.

Either the guy was confusing or i heard him wrong. He mentioned the jackets are not sold in pune, the mentioned dealer does not sell Rjays Jackets?? that was bit strange, i just called up Sohail (Pune Rjays dealer mentioned on bachoo Motors website) he said the jacket (RJAYS SWIFT) would be available next week...

Whats the confusion? has anyone come across the same?

I've bought all my gears from Bachoo Motors and not to mention, I live in south, reeely far. I call up Zulfi, ask for my required gear, he confirms for the same and after the payment he ships it the same day. Simple!

Now why do you want to buy from vendors when you can directly buy from the wholesaler (BM). I've never come across Sohail and hearing it for the first time in this entire thread.

I guess Sohail too is planning to get it sourced directly from Aussies, I guess.

Any suggestions for good VFM waterproof pants with knee protectors?
budget upto 5K.
Also want to buy gloves for summer use...already have waterproof gloves.
Requirements are they should be breathable & provide standard protection (palm,knuckles etc).Budget 1-1.5K.

I guess you have Cramster Velocity which comes around 4950 Rupees. Very good pants, have some of my friends in Bangalore using it for close to two years now, pretty good stuff.

I got the helmet from Helmet Paradise Bangalore..
When and where did you get it from.?
The salesguy said the helmet prices have gone up after the budget.

I'm not sure about the model bro. I got from a not so authorized but a store I've known for a few years now. I'd be willing to help out others interested in getting the same. I'll post more pics if anyone is interested.

Any reason you can tell me why? It's got the inner protection pads, vents as well as a inner water proof liner... Is there anything I should have checked to see it is an original?

Like I said, I could be wrong, but here're my thoughts as why...
- Most people buy A* from PlanetDSG; check the prices of A* here - Textile Jackets & Pants
- Also check the international prices here - Alpinestars > Jackets, how likely they're to be priced less in India, when they're not manufactured here? If I'm not wrong, the ladies Jacket are the cheapest works close to 8K

That said, nothing to worry, if the Jacket does its job well

Anyway I wanted proper riding gear since my last accident left me unable to ride for a year and left me with long titanium rod..

It may or may not be fake, but probably landed here through a different route. But just wanted to say 8K for a genuine new A* is quite impossible price.

I was in no mood to disappoint you till i read about your previous accident.

Besides the jacket, even the LS2 we get here in India are fake . The are just replicas of LS2s. There are so many good original helmets available here yet many of us still want to buy it from a local shop who prices his products cheaper.

Slightly off topic: Many companies outsource their manufacturing to Chinese companies. Next some smart Indian businessman who visits china asks the same company to make similar helmets with the same packaging at a lower cost for which he is ready to compromise on the quality. The Chinese use the same mould and dye( not sure ) and ship them to India.
