Well, made the same mistake , mine was a rookie mistake, i did a bit of research , but it wasn't enough and bought the wrong kind of jacket fro the wrong weather condition i live in. Well, my next purchase is surely going to be a well researched one.
And the putting into context was funny man, it cracked me up...!!

Aaah, Some sort of newly developed NOS system under wraps? with coded lingo? Some cost effective potato solution? This is so unfair guys! Man this is so bad, aint we all a team? err, em er something like that? Most unethical in this forum. Bio-NOS? Grow your own NOS? be your own NOS system, Green NOS at at your A**? Organic NOS? NO Hole in the Ozone layer NOS?

            • HI guys,
I own a KTM duke an recently while on a group ride, saw an accident where i felt that had the guy been wearing a jacket, his arm would've been saved from injury.so i want to buy a jacket in range of 4-5k(max 5.5).I live in Mumbai, its kinda hot/Humid here.I want an all weather jacket.Options i am lookings at are(in order of priority) Cramster breezer 4.0, Spartan helios, scoyco jk17.The jacket should protect me from wind, have enough vents for summer and rain lining for rainy season.Kneecaps and gloves are on list too.(Budget 2k for both).Plz suggest.
              Thank you.

As you own a KTM Duke the best looking jacket very well in your budget is:

DSG Rage Jacket : KTM Orange - 5,999.00Rs

or even Spartan Helios is good. Both of these are mesh & excellently vented for the kind of climate in Mumbai

The best 2 gloves in the 2K range are:
                DSG Revive Gloves - 2,250.00Rs
                &
DSG Nitro Gloves: Black - 2,250.00Rs

As far as Knee guards are concerned:
Biking Knee Guard- Set of 2 Pcs-FOX RAPTOR RIDING GEAR | eBay

or you can even get Cramster ones

I would say shell out a bit of budget from the Knee guards to get some good & comfy gloves.

                  • I'm having issues with planetDSG. I placed an order and paid for DSG Revive more than two weeks ago, they confirmed that they were in stock and would be shipped the very next day. I get an email a couple of days ago saying they cancelled my order. When I attempted to reach their listed phone number, they take my details but never call back despite explicitly mentioning that they will. I've sent them an email to which I got no response either.
And the final kicker today - they just reject my phonecall outright. They do not have the bare minimum courtsey to notify themselves nor answer to our enquiries. It is disappointing to see such lack of professionalism from xBHP's official gear partner.

Try Cramster Breezer, costs 5.4k moreover many of my friends use the Breeze 2.0 and it being an all-weather jacket, and comes with two different liners, one for cold and one for rain, serves your bill and purpose really well . People have used it for close to three years with no problem whatsoever. Excellent VFM of jacket out there.

Spartan HELIOS is a mesh jacket, comes in around 5550/- which is best suited for hot climate, where you need air flow to keep you cool. This jacket comes with a rain liner, which acts as a wind cheater too. This is not an all-weather jacket.

DSG Rage costs 5999 and it's just as Spartan HELIOS except you get it in fancy colors.

Scoyco, JK 17 is by far the best stuff I've ever seen at Rs. 3500, had a chance to review it when one of my friend from Bangalore was kind enough to let me wear it, and boy I was impressed. The quality of the armor is just excellent and the quality is way beyond my expectation and at that price it's a steal.

The only problem is that the jacket is a little bit on the softer side, both DSG Nero and Scoyco JK 17, I would say Scoyco is even better than DSG stuffs.

So the decision is upto you, and decide based on which you want to go.

                        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                        THE END

If you are not looking for a matching one with your bike, then CRAMSTER BREEZER without any doubt. It's an all weather jacket and at the price of 5.5k - I would coin it as best buy!
                          DO NOT go for RJays.

As far as gloves are concerned within 2k you have many options such as CRAMSTER, DSG, AXO. You can have a personal look in each of the brands suiting to your personal requirements and budget. Suggestions on one personal glove would be an inaccurate help as each glove has a unique purpose with build. So your own personal hands on will get you the best you desire.

Scoyco stuff is available at AH Helmets Andheri.
P.S: Don't be harsh on RJays . There may be one off lemons, but all in all, it is a fairly good brand. The quality of stuff you get is better wct DSG\Cramster.
                              But my personal opinion anyways.

That comment was for Rain Liner specifically and not for the Jacket overall. The rain liner is useless and will not protect you even from a drizzle, water seeps in very easily.
Jacket is good without the rain liner and very comfortable in Mumbai climate. Just the rain liner sucks.
