Bumping my previous query - How are RE leather gloves? I kind of like the short ones - anyone here used them?
Short Gloves - Royal Enfield Gloves

I am not a big fan of those decals either.. bought it in a hurry plus the 79$ price tag seemed like a steal to me when I was searching around for a jacket .. so for the price and the quality of product that I received right now I've no regrets

Almost most textile and even leather jackets out there on closeouts are offered at crazy price. If only someone is willing to drop them for me ID be so happy. None are coming anytime soon.

No idea about RE gloves but expect not to be radically different than any others out there.

As a matter of fact I just called up Zulfi and inquired about the gloves. He told me the gloves have landed a week back but it was delayed due to custom procedures and good to see them on stock.

And I think it got listed the very next day we were speaking about the gloves. Pretty good. Gives an expanded options to folks now.

I'm looking for some decent riding shoes for daily use . my budget is around 7k. Dunno if any of them are available at this price. Please suggest the brands and also the places to look into in Mumbai and Pune. Also I could try asking my brother to get them from US so will also need some suggestions for that.

In your price range Rjays has a whole range of riding boots to offer. Check out the bachoo motors facebook page. You will find the pics and pricing of different model in the albums.
Then another boot available in that price point is the axo primato. I think it is within 7-7.5k.

If you have option of gettig from abroad do check out a* or sidi versions. Excluding the customs tax it shouldn't cost more than 7k.

              Cheers

The thing is I'm looking for shoes which can be used daily and are sort of casual looking so I can wear them in my college. Alpinestar has such shoes costing around 100$ in US. Are there any shoes of those kind available here. Sidi ones are also good it seems and found one for 7k on performance racing stores. And I think there's no custom duties on goods upto 25k(not very sure), so custom charges can be skipped.

I took a Alpine star SMX1-8900Rs from DSG, the boots are decent protection. but can not use it daily.
For daily riding u can check the Orazo picus, that is actually having decent protection and can be used regularly.

Orazo Picus, I have the their full ankle boot I-bis. Excellent stuff for touring, but walking on a day to day basis, the boot is quite large and won't fit for normal walking. And moreover, these aren't full fledged motorcycle boots, they are just steel toe boots and that's the reason I didn't quote this, especially PICUS.

That being said, they are far far better than most boots when it comes to price to protection ratio.

Now the RJays Sprint is black, water-resistant, with toe shifter protection, and drawstring lace ups at at a competitive price. I'd definitely suggest you the RJays Sprint.

And a friend of mine recently bought this one, and he tested it intenty on wet and rainy conditions. Unless you dip your foot in a pool of water, the water resistance protection is very good and wet grip as he told was good, not "TOO" good, but good for that ankle boot and he uses it for college too and always vouches by it.

                      Cheers!

Will visit the pune dealer of RJays and will see all the shoes before coming to a conclusion. Also saw a sidi boot for 6.5k on performance racing stores, it looked good.

Considering the humidity in our country, 100% waterproof apparel is very uncomfortable to wear - unless you enjoy stewing in your own sweat. Also what will you do with the pants after the monsoon? I'd suggest some rain over pants instead which can be removed when not raining.
