Looks very similar to the JCB Boots posted few pages back of Rs2770.00, which is black. Even I would want it black.Originally posted by Sird View Post
After Jacket and Gloves, I was thinking of shoes and then I had a tiny hit with a auto-wala that gave me a bit of a inch of swelling in foot.
So here is My last week purchase :
Bought for 1600rs.
Sole is Very good
The Ankle is of Thick Stuff + Foam inside.
The Fitting is very good.
The weight is same as that of a Sport shoes & not like a boot so its good for riding.
Though I never like the Camouflage theme of jacket, pants, anything.
And I wanted it all Black, but there's no Option.
I-Feel-Good !

Why don't you guys look for Rjays boots, they are cheaper than the hardcore ones but give the same level of features, with somewhat comparable protection as compared to these industrial shoes or steel toe boots.
I would always advice boots build for the purpose(here, riding) rather than getting boots build for some other purpose

Which order should I go?
Also I am not posting my budget as I don't have any now
....I will choose a product and overtime save the money necessary.
But please suggest gear as you guys did for my helmet(Got it for 1.8k,when LS2 costs double)...ie,cheapest one with no compromise on safety..!
15k is good enough for you to get good enough stuffs.Originally posted by Dragon prince View PostYarr i am ready to buy Jacket, helmet, gloves. i will be investing 12000 overall plaese help me with this. i hope this investment is enough.
First off, your primary investment must be for a good helmet. To get the maximum bang for the buck
Go for LS2 helmets in and under 3.5k excellent VFM helmets.
Secondly jackets, go for Cramster Breezer, Cramster Eclipse or Spartan Helios in and around 5.5k excellent VFM money stuffs.
Thirdly go for leather gloves and check the websites for the products and you'll have gloves in and around 2.5 to 5k which are good.
Websites.
Cramster - India's Favourite Riding Gear and Motorcycle Luggage Buy Online and Accessories Safety Apparel Touring Biking Biker Protective Jacket Gloves Saddlebags Luggage Ladakh Leh Ride Rider Royal Enfield Bullet KTM ninja pulsar Yamaha Racing Suit or www.spartanprogear.com
All these equates to more or less 12k with some 100 bucks still on hand (kidding)

Currently got my heart set on SPartan ICARUS !
Something else I should check out before getting it?
Also read some pages back that buying armor and using with normal jackets is better ..is that true?
What about scoyoco Jk 17?Last edited by albyjose; 07-17-2013, 01:08 AM."Vibes transmitted from crank shaft to frame, then through the bearings of the head stock and into the stem where it meets the triple clamp and into the clip-ons where it is greeted with great pleasure by my hands"-ratfighter mod rtr

Guys, Is there any waterproof / Rain Gloves available? I know DSG has one, but they seem to have taken it out from the website.
Its very irritating to ride with a soaked gloves. Right now, both my A* and Rynox gloves are soaking wet and am sure they would take another 2 days to dry up

Scoyoco are out of stock now, they are not importing them anymore. Heard they might start again soon, but the prices may be hiked.
For your current budget the ICARUS fits perfectly.
Cheers

@above and fellow xbhpians, could someone tell me where to buy riding gear in Cochin/trichur?autoqueens at kochi is one I often hear about.how is the aftersales support here?I'm looking at the starting range here.not alpine* stuff.Indian manufacturers I know of are cramster, dsg and lately spartan pro gear(Bangalore based?).how are they graded on quality levels, durability based on user experience?any other indian brands suggested shipping to Cochin?this is my first purchase and takes time to convince family members to allow purchase(I'm certain but paying near 10-15k for jackets, pants and gloves with new helmet and boots left will have them breathing down my neck).the jacket I will be buying definitely.awaiting your valuable advice please..๔ยкє ҭђгєє ภเภєҭұ เภ ๓ұ שєเภร

mate for riding gears you have 2 options in cochin
Auto queen(Kaloor JN) and DJ helmets(Edappaly High school bus stop)
DJ is more customer friendly now a days in my opinion.
Brands at Auto queen is - A*, DSG, Cramster
At DJ - Spartan, Rynox, Zeus, LS2
The customer support and after sales is very much better in DJ.
So i would suggest you to go to DJ and check out the gears, since you are looking for indian manufacturers, i would suggest spartan more than cramster because of the build quality and VFM factor.
Cheers

Re: Need help regarding choosing the cheap and best riding gears in bangalore
Spartan ICARUS is more or less a RJays Swift in the outer shell dept and bumped up KNOX armor and are basically an entry level jackets. But I'd suggest you to go for something even more VFM like Cramster Breezer, ECLIPSE, Spartan HELIOS.Originally posted by albyjose View PostCurrently got my heart set on SPartan ICARUS !

Just to remind, no matter even the best gloves out there aren't water proof. They are WATER RESISTANT to an EXTENT and that's about it. DSG had ACQUA full gauntlet gloves which were termed waterproof, but tales from Ladakh proved even they didn't do the job well.Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostGuys, Is there any waterproof / Rain Gloves available? As I coined previously, better use a nylon pull-over over the top of your leather glove, which are basically 100% WATERPROOF, WINDPROOF. These cost a mere 350 to 450 bucks for the entire set. But going for a size bigger than your glove will help it fit over your glove in that rainy day.
It should be avlbl with most nylon resellers.
Cheers!

I did think about it, but thought it would be better to use a WP gloves. Oh well, looks like i will have to get the nylon one's.Originally posted by valkyrieX7 View PostIf you seriously want waterproof, buy powder free surgical gloves and wear it under the riding gloves. Done.

Thank you guys
Oh on more thing, what about our shoes in rain. I guess even with WP shoes, the water would still seep in from the top. I have been riding with chappel today since all my shoes are spoilt by rains
