so now dsg maze looks really good buy.
yes RJays... as Inder mentioned, those people above hav it.. would cost around 7.5k I guess.
its there at 7th Gear, Dadar. Even i tried it, but was not fitting me well.

This was two months back and that time the guy there told me that they would be getting the Icon jackets in Jan09.. so do check out with them.

@chauhan_saurabh... I have that DSG one.. got it for Rs.5850.. 2-3 months back.

In DSG the best option for summers is the Maze...Fully MESH...textile part is amazingly less on that

In cramster, look for Breezer...specially designed for Summer riding i.e made of MESH....!
          Mera bhi Rjays hi hai
The reason I am saying is that for guys having small frame Rjays is an excellent option as it fits perfectly wheras the DSG or an Astar is somewhat floppy.
without the inner liner its quite comfy to wear and u get enough air inside...

its heartening to see that more and more bikers are thinking about riding gears. DSG and cramster are Indian brands and are relatively cheaper than international brands.

                            1. riding gloves:
DSG and Cramster provide riding gloves which starts from rs 850 for city gloves to RS 2700 for leather racing gloves other indian brand is from angelsracing. alpinestar , joe rocket, icon, are some of the brands available in India and are priced higher than their indian counterparts.

                            2. riding jackets:
here again DSG and Cramster are the cheapest brands. Cramster costs even less than the DSG. both these jackets provide same degree of protection. the jackets come in textile and mesh. go for mesh if you live in a humid place like cochin. textile jackets are heavy and u tend to sweat a lot but it comes with a removable warm inner liner which means that u can use it in winter, whereas u cannot use mesh jacket in winter.

DSG mesh jacket starts at 6000, and textile at 5300. whereas cramster mesh will cost 4600 and textile will cost 5000.
angelsracing also provide mesh and textile jackets and are priced similarly.

                            3.knee and elbow guards:

u can go for cramster elbow guards which costs 900 and the knee guard will cost 1300.
other option is alpinestar reflex knee guard which costs 2000
or go to JC Road , bangalore and look for fox racing knee and elbow guard which costs around 1800- 2000 for both combined. PM bangalore guys they can help u out.

                            4. if u dont have enough money:
First thing to buy is a good helmet.
                            2nd a pair of gloves
3rd a pair of knee guards
                            4th jacket/ elbow guards.
5th always wear shoes while riding .

a pair of city gloves will cost 850 - 1000
a pair of elbow and knee guards will cost around 2000- 4000.
so if u plan to invest 3000 rupees initially . when u have the money add the jacket too to the list.

website: PlanetDSG : The only Indian store for Motorcycle Riding Gear.. -they have dealers in bangalore.check the site for their address.

www.cramster.co.in - they are located in bangalore

also look at the classified section of xbhp you may be able to get some riding gears at low price

as far as i know Forma is a reputed company. some of the world superbike racers use Forma boots. cant say which is better but Forma are definitely cheaper than alpinestar.
