Dear Riders, i recently purchased Vega Jackets. Now I dont know how protective or safe these are compared to some other brands, please suggest if these are not good enough, I would buy some other.

The Jacket I want would be used in warm/hot climatic conditions, so warmth is not a requirement.

Friends also please suggest me good riding gear: Gloves, Pants & Shoes.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I checked both the jackets. Aspida i am getting at 4400 & rhynox at 5350. Just advice that is it worth the rhynox one. Also it is the only available in bright orange color. Which i don't want. Talking about cordura jacket and weather in Mumbai. I intend to wear the jacket going away from mumbai only. Please advice.
      Thanks in advance,

Which Aspida model are you talking about? Aspida is the brand not the product.

Which all places you intend to wear jacket? I hope you are not travelling to ladakh every three months...then only cordura will be usefull...

pm me for further deep details...we can discuss it there.

The jacket you bought if it's a mesh one then its fine to be used in. I have never personally seen vega gear so can't comment.

There are plenty of options to choose from gloves and pants. Have a look at them and shortlist a few to finalize. Buy any good high ankle leather boots, if you are just starter.

          Hey there
Vega jackets are also good and have ce approved protection
The layering inside are also good

For pants don't go for pants unless you are a regular on long routes just go for knee protectors
Shoes : various types of riding shoes are available but personally I don't prefer riding boots as they don't seem comfortable to me .buy a good trekking shoes like quechua forclaz 500or 600
They are water proof and have a nice grip

Gloves: go for cramster tundra if you go for long drives to Himalaya's

Helmet : do buy a nice helmet for long drives and full face helmet only

Called up Megha Enterprises and Biking Spirit and they don't sell Rynox.

I would like to avoid riding half expanse of the city if I have an option.

            Help would be much appreciated.
Rynox Air GT is available at Let's Gear Up.

Guys... Any one can point me in the direction of a place where I can buy a CE rated back protector insert? Reallyneed one before the touring season commences. Search all over the internet and the only one I found was at Outdoor Travel Gear - a Knox insert for 2500 INR. I find it bizzare that there are no other reasonably priced options. To pay almost 50% of the Jacket value for a insert is tonking me a bit 😒😣.

Ps. I'm based in Calcutta..there is more chance of locating Miranda Kerr here than a back protector insert. Bah

May I enquire what jacket you own to begin with? Different jackets use different models of back protector. i.e. They are model specific.

Thanks for the reply.. I heard that the armour inserts are generally universal. I use a DSG jacket and Knox / Joe Rocket inserts are all a perfect fit.

Thanks, yes the listing doesnt show whether its mesh or other materials, will check once received.
The main problem at my end is that Im currently posted in a remote area, there are no good quality riding accessories/gear shops around. Max you can get in the name of top helmets is a Studds or Vega. Its worse with Riding gear, there's no market for that here. So I will have to depend on Online mode for biking gear.

Need a good quality Helmet, Protective Jacket, Pants, Gloves to begin with atleast.

Any idea of how Royal Enfield riding gear is because that may be available at one of the enfield showrooms locally.

Thanks, ok Vega if turns out good, should be nice. Waiting for it to get delivered.

As such I'd be using the bike for Local Commutes, to work, mkt, leisure only. Will try Knee protectors then, I think I will get both - protective pants & knee protectors.

Trekking shoes is good news, I actually recently bought a Wildcraft Hiking shoe, its great quality & waterproof too. Will use this one till I get proper Riding Boots.

Yes looking for Full-Face helmets only, maybe Modular at that. Had ordered LS2 but cancelled thanks to the Fakes thread here, that helmed me.

Gloves also Ive ordered Vega, lets see if quality is not upto scratch, will return & buy Cramster Tundra instead.

Yes, I know. I was looking for a store which stocks both Rynox & Spartan.

Eventually I bought Rynox Air GT from Lets Gear Up.

Helios is very gud for hot weather but u wil just get a rain liner so u cn go for tornado or tornado pro, the one I was wearing, it has two liners rain and thermal, and offers good ventilation, and cheaper than Helios as prices are hiked now.
