Planning to buy jacket, gloves and knee guard.
    Budget : ~10k
Jacket : Rynox tornado pro 7.5k
    Gloves : Solace bravo 2.8k

Anything better in this price range please do suggest.

Knee guard : aspida bionic, alpinestar vapor 3.5k

But that's getting out my budget Let me know anything cheaper for time-being.

Boring is fine by me as long as its safe. Thanks for the suggestion but how reliable is the brand? Can I get it in store in Chennai? I'm hearing the name for first time. [emoji53]

Using it for last 6 months.
          No problems till now.
It has got ce rated elbow, shoulder, back guards.
And comes equipped with hard plastic shoulder slider too.
Detachable thermal and rain linner is also included.
At 6500 inr i must say it is bang for bucks.

This was a new batch of jackets he had just received last week.

I infact went for the Tornado pro as it had - extra thermal liner, better water-proof breathable reissa fabric, Du Pont (Invista) Cordura at outer shell and a better Back protector. Also the Mesh quality of the Tornado Pro was better. I also checked their Facebook Page and Website again. Also have dropped them a message on FB to confirm the same. Let's see. In the meanwhile it would be great if you could help us with the images of the protectors. Does the Knox Protectors say Part 41 or Part 42 by any chance?
Did any of you guys confirmed if Helios comes with level 2 knox Armour?

                Hey everyone,

Been reading this thread for a while now since I'm planning on getting my brother and myself a good riding jacket for about 5-7k each. It is ideally for our Leh trip later this summer but thinking of buying it now so that we've gotten used to it come June.

I've gone through so many sites and honestly am more confused than when I started searching. Would need a jacket with good protection, with the possibility of upgrading the armour. And a jacket that I can use every day to work.

Here are some of the few I've narrowed down to, any information on these will be appreciated

                1. Rynox Tornado Pro

Seems to be the popular one around. Not too happy with the way it looks online.

                2. Tarmac One Riding Jacket

Can't make out if this is a product bikers like or not, found mixed reviews online.

                3. DSG Evo Two

Loved the look of it but found out that DSG quality is bad.

                4. Biking Brotherhood Spiti and Ladakh

Look like good jackets, just need information from people who've used it.

                5. LS2 4 Weather Jacket

One of the better looking ones around. Tried it on at the showroom and felt it was good. The issue is that I can't find any reviews (positive or negative) on this thread.

Any information regarding these jackets or other recommendations will be immensely appreciated.

                Thanks,
                JoashC

I'm using Tornado Pro since last year it's definitely a good jacket and value for money too. Looks are subjective so can't comment on that but I like its look 😁.

Rain liner and winter liners are effective and fitting is also good. Of all listed jackets Tornado is bang for the buck. Go for it.

Haha maybe it looks better in real life. Have only seen pictures of it online. Could you provide me with the link of the shop you bought it from?

I got it from Outdoor Travel Gear online store during their Diwali sale @ 10% discount 😁.

It does look better in real life. Do try it personally for fitting and looks. 😅

Go to Rynox website. Find the authorised dealer in your city. Go to the store and check it by yourself. I am using it and it's good. Like our other bro said, looks are subjective. I will upload pics of mine if you want.
