Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Need some help, have been using Spidi riding pants, along with an alpine leather suit for my blade & the tiger, was looking for a change of riding pants and hence bought the
RST, unfortunately the padding bit was quite weak in the pant from an Armour perspective, though the pant quality and styling is pretty good. Can you guys recommend an alternative brand for the riding pants please (besides cramster, rynox, spidi, zeus, ls2 etc), also if you can suggest any fellow who can do custom riding pants with the approved armours.
Thank you!

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Solace does custom riding pants with sas tec armours. Also they do custom size work for any brand. Do check them. Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Need some help guys. I have a MT Axxis braking helmet and got a BT-S2 Bluetooth intercom. The helmet doesn't have inserts/grooves to place the speakers so I ended up sticking them inside. Now the helmet is super tight as it was already snug before. It ends up hurting my ear like crazy. Has anyone else faced this issue? And any suggestion how this could be fixed? Thanks

Kross Riding Jacket
Hello guys.
I've been using a simple leather jacket for rising purposes along with elbow protectors till now. But now the urge to buy a riding jacket has been too much to ignore simply because of the additional benefits a riding jacket comes with.
I have shortlisted a few of them in the 6k-7k range and have read reviews of them. But there's 1 jacket for which I can't find any reviews about but has been vouched by a few biking accessories shops. They also claim that they have been selling them since a while and the jackets are imported and not made in India. The name of the company is KROSS though I don't remember the jacket model number. I have tried it on and looks pretty good. It has elbow, shoulders and back protectors all CE certified (level 1 or level 2, not sure), has all the rain liners and winter liners, adjustable straps on the elbows, forearms, cuffs and hips, good air flow through the mesh, 600DN cordula, good amount of reflectors, YKK zips 2 external water resistant pockets, 2 internal pockets with 1 waterproof pocket, 2 keychain holders and everything expected in a good riding jacket. It's cost is also 6k which is within budget.
My only concern is the lack of reviews online, though the vendors give positive reviews. Can you guys please help me regarding this KROSS Riding Jacket.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Kross Riding Jacket
I have seen the KROSS jacket once in the retail store and have tried it also, the quality of it is not up to the mark, for that price u have so many good options which have good reviews, u can even go for RYNOX tornado pro for the price range which is too good; armour wise as well as the quality.Originally posted by pranavkhadawala View PostHello guys.

Re: Kross Riding Jacket
You can go for solace defender sastec level 2 but its a textile one so ventilation would be less from a mesh one.Originally posted by pranavkhadawala View PostHello guys.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread

These are the jackets I currently own
Alpinestars T jaws air jacket - a great summer jacket, lightweight, flows in ton of air.
Protection is okish, comes with level 1 bio armour in arms and shoulders. There are pockets for chest and back armour which is sold separately.
It is made up of mesh and textile, main focus here is airflow, which it does very well.
It comes with a water resistant, windproof liner which works good.
Overall a good jacket for summer but lacks a bit on protection.
Alpinestars TGP pro air jacket - the main reason I got this is for protection. This provides very good protection compared to the T jaws. It is 90% textile and the only mesh on this jacket is at the abdomen and at the back at the same place of the same size and shape.
It comes with level 2 bio armour at shoulders and arms, it has pockets for chest and back armour which again needs to be bought seperately.
Ventilation is good but not as good as the T jaws which is expected.
The quality once again is top notch and the workmanship on this jacket is just amazing.
The fit of this jacket is far more aggressive than the T jaws, which is a sport fit.
Overall an awesome jacket but costs a lot. The moment you put it on you can feel that it is going to protect you incase of a fall.
Alpinestars Atem leather jacket - this is a race jacket and you can feel it the moment you put it on. The whole jacket is CE level 2 certified.
The fit of this jacket is skin tight, as if you've got a second set of skin.
It has armous on shoulder and arms and pockets for chest and back armours(sold separately), you can also use race spec nucleon krr back protector.
It has tpu sliders in both shoulder and arms.
For the people who are wondering how warm it is inside once you wear it. Well its too hot inside and you continously sweat, its better to wear an undersuit/compression tee and then put on the jacket.
Its one of the best jackets you can buy but is on the expensive side and I always suggest you buy only after trying it on as the alpinestars fit much different compared to most of the brands.
