Rynox tornado pro , solace defender plus (new version) ,tbg knight mesh jacket , i'm leaning towards solace defender plus as its having sastec level 2 armours on shoulder and elbows and is better than knox but sceptical about the brand solace, rynox and solace both can be tried at my nearby shop in mumbai but tbg can't be so its another reason,
confused between rynox and solace as rynox is a known brand , which one should i purchase , any opinion would be appreciated [emoji3]
Rynox Tornado pro all the way ! Have been using it since years and even had a crash in it and it served me well. Do not fall for 750D and 600D- All of that is Polyester and not authetntic Du Pont Cordura. Very few brands are actually using it. The Tornado Pro comes with Authentic Du Pont Cordura at Impact zones. Since you have a dealer close by just go and check the material used on the elbow in Tornado Pro as against the rest.

You can read about the abrasion resistance that Authentic Cordura will provide in case of a slide there are direct test reports on the web given by Du Pont, its even higher than Nylon. Check for the Du Pont tag as well.

If you can extend your budget a little, SMK Twister is for 4300 and its a complete value for money helmet.

Thanks for explaining the 600D & 750D, this seriously makes Rynox TP a serious choice; but then again, we can't ignore the fact that Sas-tec is better than Knox(and more comfortable too).

Okay. So I have been working on a detailed review/ break down of SaS Tec vs Knox basis some real tests and readings. You may want to wait for it. Its been more than 2 weeks that I have been working on it (but ofcourse only when I get the time after work).

I agree. Increase the budget a bit and go for SMK. Really VFM especially with the Pin Lock provided with it.

              Waiting for your insight
The problem is, in order to buy riding gears, i have to go to Kolkata(no riding gear shop in Patna as far as i know), that's why i am getting as much homework done as possible, so when i visit, i don't want to be half sure about things.

Go with Solace D Plus over Rynox T pro since Rynox is a mesh type and when you crash, the tarmac eats up mesh before a second. Plus those not so comfortable Knox armour, Rynox doesn't use YKK zippers in 2017 T Pro. Also, Solace offers accordion panels at elbow and shoulder region, is a total textile jacket. And the thing about DuPont and Polyester 750D, it's just a marketing gimmick used by Rynox. Cordura is owned by VistaFabrics now, anyways.
But if you want best abrasion resistance instead of best armour, Solace Sprint has best material in that case.
Remember in case of a slide, the mesh on T Pro would be equal to nothing.
                            Good luck buying a jacket.
Sastec and D3o are far better than knox, to know the difference, try some riding pants from Rynox and Solace. The rynox ones are bound to give you rashes. Not to forget the superfabric marketing gimmick of Rynox that tears up on the bums. Meanwhile solace uses leather.
Customer support is great for both the brands, with Solace offering repair services too.
All in all, that's my opinion.

Solace is using a Marketing gimmick of 750 D and plus uses the word Cordura. They are using basic Polyester.
Cordura is a Brand originally invented by DU Pont and now owned by Invista and its no marketing gimmick my Rynox. It is truly a high abrasion resistant material and one of the finest ones with high abrasion than even Nylon. That is why you will see that the Rynox Tornado Pro has a sew label of Cordura.

Viaterra makes a bag of Du Pont Cordura®- Claw Pro which is sold at some 6k as it is a very expensive material. However, that same Claw bag (made in 1680D Polyester, forget 750D polyester) is sold at half the price.

Besides it's not a gimmick by Rynox to use the word Cordura as even Solace is using that word on their website (and does not even come with any authenticity of Cordura such as sew label). Besides Rynox Tornado Pro comes with authentic Cordura Tag (sew label as well as hang tag). Here is the Cordura is a brand and its website- CORDURA® Brand - Home. The site also have test results to show how a DU Pont has higher abrasion than any other material even Nylon for that matter.

So in fact, it is certainly a gimmick/false claim by Solace to use the word Cordura®, as it is using 750D Polyester which is a very inexpensive material. Cordura and Polyester are both different materials and Solace conveniently uses the word Cordura® instead of Polyester 750D. And Polyester 750D is as good as Nylon Mesh (used in Tornado Pro). Imagine brands like Rynox and Viaterra make bags out of 1680D Polyester (sold at 3k) and Solace is using mere 750D Polyester for Jacket, how abrasion resistant do you think will it be.

Please be aware of false claims by brands calling Polyester as Du Pont (Invista) Cordura.

A full textile jacket is not suitable for city rides, I agree sweat is better than blood, but if you sweat so much that you never want to wear it what the use.

And just wait for a day, I am about to finish my review on Sastec vs Knox and I bet some huge bluff being called in the review. The Huge Level 2- Gimmick I must say!
