Have been using liquimoly 'Helmet interior cleaner' intermittently when too busy/lazy to wash.[emoji2]
It has a citrus fragrance, the helmet feels fresh, though the freshness doesn't last as long as washing the liners.
300 ml spray costs 600-700 rs.The product is made in Germany, so the chemicals, with those stricter regulations, would have to be good.
NB-I have read experts recommending against using of any chemicals for cleaning of helmets.I have not felt any degradation in the liners, but cant comment on its effect on shell, adhesives etc.

The only thing I would change in my jacket is that the ventilation panel needs to be rolled down and then tucked into to keep it from opening up again - which it does during rides. But I think they have now fixed it with additional velcros, so it should be fine
Thanks for the feedback. Current version has push lock system to hold the panel in place it seems so it wont be an issue I guess!.

            cheers.

So, I have been using the Viaterra Grid gloves for around 6 months now.
Have covered 2k kms in them.

I have noticed 1 major issue , the stitching is horrible!!
On my wrist, i always get a dark spot (from pinching i believe) that stays for 3-4 days.

Do check the Viaterra Grid stitching and fit before you buy it. if you feel places that feel awkward or tight, get a different piece.

An update on my riding gears -

              1) HJC CS15
              2) Solace Sabre Mesh Jacket
              3) Rynox Advento pants
              4) Viaterra Grid

Saw a sale on Amazon today and picked up the Levi's Royal enfield slim fit riding jeans.
Looks promising and at 2300, costs roughly the same as most of my jeans.

It needs additional knee guards btw, so scouting the market to see what fits, assuming this will cost 1000-1500.
I have a proper touring pant , plan to use the Levi's for within the city runs or those rides that are like 100kms here and there!

Will keep you all posted about the quality and other details.

              Cheers!

Do let me know about your experience with the Levis Denim.. I was planing to buy one too.

I think a denim by Levi’s won’t go wrong and sound perfect for the daily runs.

Viaterra gloves (in my earlier post too) I have mentioned that the fit is quite odd. But I was talking about the Holeshot.

The Viaterra Grid has external stitching and its suppose to not hurt and make the glove more comfortable. Right ?

I have a Via Terra grid and had gone a size up due to non availability of small size.
Its true what you said about the external stitching ought to being better fitting. However,I too had this gloves hurting my space between fingers for quite sometime.I guess I have broken in the gloves now as this pain has reduced, but it definitely numbs my finger when worn for prolonged time

So , I got the Levi's delivered today. long story short, returning it immediately.

Read the fine print clearly. There are 4 variants of the Levi's x RE line
only the top most has the right cordura and abrasion resistance. The ones i got were basic Nylon in spite of Amazon listing Cordura on the site, which must be in error I am sure?

Quick thought on this one though, it has a decent sized knee armor insert space, however the ones from my Rynox Advento dont fit in this space.
The material feels exactly like the normal levi's jeans - excellent but not abrasion resistant

The branding is tastefully integrated and the side pocket is amazing utilitarian for biking usage.

Anyway, returning it with a heavy heart and looking out for a sale on the top end jeans some day

regarding the Viaterra Grid, the stitching from your wrist on is internal and this is the one that troubles me to no end apparently.

What model did you order? Generally, when a garment is Cordura or Kevlar there is a label specifying what material the garment is made off.

This is the link on the Levi's website - "https://www.levi.in/collections/levis_x_royal_enfield-2?prefn1=items_type&prefv1=Jeans"

I got the one that retails at 4,999 - Slim Fit 511 .
And yes, I am aware that Cordura or Kevlar is usually advertised brightly, and it wasn't , one of the main reasons I returned it.

The Levi's website clearly mentions that this is a nylon blend for toughness. The Amazon product description mentioned Cordura and hence I ran with it.

On this Levi's page, the one that retails at 6,999 is the only one worth being called riding pants.

Hi all, hope everyone is doing fine! I am here for another round of feedback/suggestion as I am about to buy a riding pant and a pair of full gauntlet gloves.

                          1. Almost finalized on Solace Coolpro V2.0. But availability is a factor. One of the dealers in Kolkata has a Solace S30 and the right size for me. Putting aside the technical differences, is there any real world difference between the Coolpro and S30? I mean, if I am not able to get hold of a Coolpro and have to settle for a S30, what will I be missing?

                          2. Full gauntlet gloves in the following order. This pair of gloves will be used very sparingly(maybe 5-6 times in a year). I don't want to compromise on the protection part along with build quality and ventilation. Budget is 5k.

ViaTerra Grid(protection and build wise, this is the one I am more inclined towards, good reviews)
Rynox Storm Evo 2(looks good, positive reviews)
Shima STX(not able to find too many reviews)

Hoping to get some insights urgently as I intend to make the purchases within next week. Thanks in advance!
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Guys, I am looking to buy new riding (touring) boots under Rs 10,000. I see the following options in the market that are oriented towards touring.

                              https://bikingbrotherhood.com/product/touring-boot-black/
                              BBG touring boots Rs 6,800
https://store.royalenfield.com/explo...ng-boots-black RE explorer touring boots Rs 7,500
                              https://letsgearup.in/products/shima-rsx-5-boots Shima RSX-5 boots Rs 10,000
                              https://letsgearup.in/collections/bo...sbt1161w-black Exustar boots Rs 9,000

Priorities, in order: protection, comfort, lightweight, easy to walk around, waterproof

I ride a Honda CBR250R and already own Rynox Advento Touring Pants. Any suggestions on what would the best choice? Even something not in this list would be ok.

Please don't buy BBG. My opinion would be

Shima (1st) - recommending based on a friend's input as I don't own riding boots yet. The rest I am not aware of its quality. Hope this helps
