But going by the quality standards of the company, I believe it would be worth the Rs.5,200/- that I'll be spending on it.

I just hope that it's available in Delhi (Adventure 18 Store), because the last time I enquired about it, they were (the Adventure 18 guys), on the contrary enquiring about the jacket from me!
Aryan, I have used this jacket for a few months now. Its pretty good. This is my first riding jacket so I am not sure where it stands with respect to other jackets. .. but I am sure its not to be used in hot conditions..

    • Damn! I am all confused. Say my budget is about Rs.6,000/- and I want to get a riding jacket with protection (armour). Which would be my best deal? I am not really into DSG Spike jacket!

What other options do I have? I loved the Pulse, but I wouldn't really want two jackets - one for summer, one for the winters. I want a single jacket that I could use regularly, on daily basis as well as during long and hard tours.

I think the other jackets are too hot to be in daily. I guess a mesh jacket-Cramster Breezer or DSG Maze would suit your requirements the best. Since both are outgoing models, you should get a decent discount.

get DSG maze its mesh and it rocks i wear it daily to my court and back, its nice. Much better than spike, i wore it to office 3rice not much sweat on shirt quite airy i say. Maze comes with inner liner for winters, its water resistant but not water proof. although u can wear a rain coat over it as DSG pune told me.

Also spike is heavy compared to Maze.

          • Aryan Da, I am currently using Cramster Meteor and to tell you honestly these jackets cant be used in summers. I use the jacket only in winters and that too without inner lining and still sweat profously(Dec-Jan, even late nights).

For long rides stick to Elbow guard and Knee Guard in summers and for winters riding jacket and knee guard combo.

            • My riding gear is finally complete!

Guys, here's the final addition to my riding gear. Worked my ass off for these babies. Was saving since ages! Did a lot of research and reviewed many.. er.. reviews on the net.

              Just bought them this afternoon.

For a review on the product, please bear with me for a day or two. The dealer said it should take a week or so of daily riding to finally bed in.

I'm sure am gonna hate them for a few days. Specially when shifting gears. But lets hope I can rein them in soon.
              Enjoy the pics.
Oh and the reason I look so tired even before riding is
              a) The sveltering afternoon heat &
              b) I did a night shift yesterday and still haven't slept.
Its 1600hrs now and am getting ready to test these babies.

              Cheers!
              Joey

              Please pardon my excitement
              Will post more pics later.

                • Breezer 2.0

                  Dear Aryan,

There is no jacket which would be comfortable in Extreme Heat and also Good for rain because of the technology used, trust me your jacket is way better than the Nylon lined jackets which were made in the early days of textile jackets by Spada, First Gear etc..

You don't have much choice but to go for a Mesh jacket and use it in hot weather when you know for sure it is not gonna rain..

                  FYI:
Cramster has come up with Breezer 2.0 Super Mesh which will be listed soon on the website.

                  Godspeed.

                      Protection: Mesh Vs Textile

Well.. Actually Armour takes 90% of the credit, rest 10% is the abrasion resistance Textile offers. Technically Mesh offers lesser abrasion resistance but the difference is negligible. Don't bother.

Saw the above gloves last week here. It was for Rs3500.

There is a seasonal discount of 20% so it comes to Rs2800.

The quality seems good to me and its a Thai make.

The price for the same product is Rs4999 in planetdsg

Anyone from chennai want it? check it out at dollars and pounds
