Good luck with the Grid, me and most of the people I know who got this glove are facing major issues
For me the stitching was so poor that it was giving me blood clots on both of my wrists.
others have also reported various stitching issues

I have sent mine to their factory and they said they will inspect and fix it, waiting to see if it makes any difference.

        I have the,
        • Type II Trucker Jacket (Cordura and Toughmax; Shoulder, Elbow & Back Armor pockets)
        • 511 Pro Jeans (Cordura, Toughmax and Coolmax; Knee & Hip Armor pockets)
        • 512 Urban (Cordura; Knee Armor pockets)

I tried the D3O hip armor in the hip pocket and they fit well.
Any idea which knee armor inserts are compatible with these?
Also, looking for recommendations for compatible elbow, shoulder and back armor for the “Levis X Royal Enfield Premium Type II Trucker Motorcycle Jacket”
The D3O back Armor is a bit short in the back pocket and the elbow and shoulder pockets have pretty small non standard sizes.

I had gone to a Levi's showroom and realized that the size 34 was my best fit. I generally wear size 32 Levi's.
This jeans has a lot more cordura and has tough max which the other jeans don't.
Plus, this has the highest amount of polyamides.

It has knee inserts, so have to buy these separately next. Also has hip insert sockets.
Has a very accessible side zip for storing mobile or wallet while riding. The access is brilliant on a riding posture.

The jeans have a baggy look to them given that I went one size up. but they are roomy and the seat is reinforced.
Overall, I feel this is worth 4500-5000, given that you need to buy armor separately.

Blood clots or warts? Would love to hear from you on this one. ViaTerra and Cramster do have some gloves where they fit great but are an ergonomic disaster. Blood clots are a no no, unless something on the glove is constantly rubbing against your skin.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

          • Hi everyone. I recently purchased an SMK twister (Captain) helmet. The fit is fantastic. After a riding session, though I have been regularly cleaning the helmet visor (with a wet tissue followed by a dry one) there a few top scratches which irk me as this is a new helmet and I want to preserve the visor at least for a year without too many scratches . Kindly suggest easy methods to remove the top scratches.
            Cheers!!!

                • I came back to the forum to check the Helmets and Riding Gear threads, which I feel are easily the best threads for useful content on this forum. I tip my hat off to all the members who are very active on these two threads and help new and experienced riders with suggestions on riding gear. Anyways, I was dismayed to find that there hasnt been any updates to this thread in 6 months and even the helmet thread has seen hardly any activity in the last year or so.

Some quick updates from my side. I picked up a black Rynox Air GT3 from Gearbox Motorcycle Accessories (Cochin) last year. It was the only jacket that fit me well enough at that point of time. I had already tried all the options from Rynox, Solace, Revit, A* and every other brand, so I was tired of searching for a good replacement of my A* jacket. Anyways, Im looking to replace the Rynox jacket now, since Ive lost some weight and it is a loose fit. I prefer something better fitting. I tried the Tornado a few days ago and it has the same problem.

I own Rynox's riding pants as well. My first one developed a tear on my first ride (posted about it on the thread last year) and Rynox replaced it. No issues with the replacement pair, it performs very well.

I was looking to replace my A* sport touring and Dainese race gloves some time last year or this year and I went to try Rynox gloves at DJ Helmets (Cochin). All of them had major quality issues. Mismatched stitching meant mismatched fits for the right and left hand. I tried 3 pairs and all 3 had the same quality problems. The store guy also tried it out and confirmed that all of them were problematic.

Macna's Airpack gloves looked to be great VFM but they didnt fit me right.

Due to Covid, there was a shortage of good gloves in the market and I finally got tired of waiting and bought a pair of Alpinestars GP Pro R2 from FC Moto to replace my Dainese gloves. Including customs and everything, it came to Rs 20,766. Expensive for sure, but they were fortunately cheaper than the Dainese gloves that they replaced.I havent had enough saddle time with the GP Pro R2 but it feels worth the premium. If anyone wants pictures, I posted a bit more feedback on the TBHP riding gear forum, page 246.

I just picked up another pair of gloves for sports touring last week, once I get some hours of riding on it, I will post some feedback on the same.

                  • Hi everyone,

I own 2013 CBR 250R STD along with below gears,

                    Spartan/Aspida Helios - >6 years old
Rynox Advento - >3 years old
MT Revenge - >3 years old
Aspida Ares - >3 years old
MotoWear 8 inch full Leather Riding boots - >4 years old

In above gears, the jacket and boot are not it great condition now due to its age, so planning to replace them starting with the Helios, as it is more than 6 years old.
The jacket has become saggy as 70% of its construction is mesh and it lost its stiffness, so the shoulder armor is sliding front and back and the elbow armor is dangling around my elbow and may not provide the best protection when required. Hence I am planning to replace it with a jacket which includes chest protectors(CE cert. lvl1 or lvl2) along with shoulders, elbows and back.

Small things I like about my current jacket, which I wish will be good to have in my next jacket
                    • 70%mesh construction for best air flow(though not mandatory feature looking in my next jacket)
                    • water resistant pocket and microfiber layered internal pocket
                    • key holder clip inside the jacket
                    • large glove hanger clip near hip
                    • removable collar pad for frequent washing
Coming to my current situation, I have seen(in online) some of the jackets for initial screening, but I cannot find more details/reviews on some of the products/brands. So, It would be helpful if anyone owns one of below jackets or have some new jackets that I can consider before finalizing my purchase.

                    Raida BOLT - Sportz+ variant - cost is reasonable @ 9950 - but no reviews available - https://raidagears.com/motorcycle/ra...cket-high-viz/

Rynox Stealth Evo 3 - @ 12750 without the rain liner and thermal liner, it feels little costlier option if liners are purchased along with the jacket - https://www.rynoxgears.com/collectio...ket-black-grey

Solace SABRE Jacket V4 - @10900 is relatively new version and looks promising at this price but the armors are lvl 2 Safe-Tech/Power-Tector, not the well known knox or sas-tec armors. It does have an inbuilt Hydration pack pocket which will be useful as I have a separate 2l bladder with me. - https://solacegears.com/product/sabr...black-level-2/

Lone Ranger Achilles Riding Jacket - @11999 with lvl 2 sas-tec armors and lvl1 check protector, but the brand is not well known. - https://bikesterglobal.com/shop/prod...riding-jacket/

Luckily I haven't had a chance to test any of my gear armor's protection during my riding so far, and not intending to do that in future too, But I would like to have the optimum protection if it is ever needed during my ride.
I will be going ahead with the purchase in next 6 months and that is the reason I am doing the initial screening now. You can see that the budget is hovering around 10-13k, and i am also open to new suggestion if it falls inside the requirement and the budget.

Also keep in mind the riding posture for CBR, so suggest something which is suitable for slight sporty riding stance as I have heard that going for lengthier jackets(Touring fit) will have some discomfort during riding.

I ride a CBR 250R myself and used to ride with the Aspida Hyperion jacket until a few months ago. After which, I bought a Rynox Tornado Pro 4, primarily because it had good armours (including chest armours) and the looks matched with the riding pants I already had - Rynox Advento.

Here is a picture of me wearing the Rynox Tornado Pro 4 jacket, Rynox Advento pants and the Shima RSX-5 boots.

After riding for 15000+ kms with the Aspida Hyperion jacket and about 2000 kms with the Rynox Tornado Pro 4 jacket, I can point out a few differences:
                      • Chest armours add weight that is felt. And, I say this because the Hyperion itself was quite heavy. The Rynox Tornado Pro 4 is even heavier which was felt in my initial rides. Now, I have gotten used to it though. I also felt the weight of the jacket when walking normally.
                      • The Aspida Hyperion I had was a L size jacket - not snug fit but not too loose either. However, this time around, I got the M size for Rynox Tornado which is closer to a snug fit. Consequently, the airflow & ventillation, although not as good as the Hyperion, is still decent with the Rynox.
                      • The Rynox Tornado Pro jacket scores very high on visibility so this gives me peace of mind when I am riding in the dark.
Also, if you are looking for boots, the Shima RSX-5, which I have been using from almost 1 year, has proven to be great. I have tested it in rains as well and no water seeped inside. Initially though, during the break in period (50-100 kms), shifting gears will be a little hard.
