      • @Sarvajit: Dude it was absolute nonsense on the R15. The Colt, or for that matter any saddlebag will just kill the handling and the aero in a straightline and around corners. After having used a tailbag, saddlebag, and normal bags with bungees, the last option is the best when it comes to the R15. Nothing else makes sense.

Plus the Colt scuffs up the rear quarter panel and will surely scratch it up on tours. I used a soft cloth to keep this from happening on the R15.

        • I use bungee cords with a huge leather bag on my bike.
It doesn move one bit , nor it is wide to cause pblms with aero dynamics.have done like 14k kms on same set up.this + tank bag=lovely.

Tried all options and this is the best.

            +1

Extra luggage on R15 does disturb the balancing and handling of the bike.

Wondering if this holds true for ZMA too, the proven tourer?

                • @rossiter, santoosh, riazmomin&satyenpoojary: Thanks a lot for the feedback. I will give up on the Colt&try to look for some good bungee net&chords. Tank bag can wait till a longer tour.

May I ask what is making you feel so? I've been using them on short rides&feel they're pretty good, except for the lack of palm padding, which in any case no city glove offers.

I bought this one only from ur's and sateyanpoojaries opinion only coz i always consider u guys words... definitely i am not blaming u guys... and i don't do also... jus telling my experience...
i had an '88 model RX100 which i sold was in a bad shape a couple of years back... the main prob was the front shocks doesn't work(like we ride a bycycle, through the prolonged usage i feel pain in my right wrist... so i bought a cheap gloves for less than 200Rs/- and i liked it very much... the wrist pain doesn't occured... i think it was VFM and for an 850Rs/- i don't find any difference in the Moto mesh(infact the local gloves serves me better)...

as u said the lack of palm padding for a city gloves dosen't seems to be acceptable for me...
                            anyways better luck next time...

                            • guys I have ordered for a pair of Cramster Knee guard.. But after that only I saw Sarvajit's post on page 151 comparing it to other knee guard
Hmm, looks pretty posh compared to my Cramsters! They are also a free size&bionic, but at half the cost. I can see the difference in quality!
Did I make a wrong decision? Are the Cramsters not good enough to be safe?
I'm confused if I should cancel my order

You are right, there is hardly any difference in the palm or side area for a Moto Mesh&local gloves. You were already told this is fundamentally a city glove, so don't expect any padding.
Coming to the difference between the DSG Moto Mesh&your less than 200 Rs. glove, DSG offers you a better fabric, with hard knuckle protection, which the local glove will not offer. All city gloves lack palm padding. If you really need palm padding, try a touring glove like the DSG Primal or a lower priced one like the Cramster Twist.

Don't misjudge my post. I am using the older model of Cramster knee guards which were bulky&not well finished. The newer model of the knee guards are sleeker&seem to have a much better finish. You have done nothing wrong by buying them.
Now, whenever you compare our desi brands to the international ones, you are bound to find a difference in the looks. This is something you have to decide on according to your wallet.
There will be no compromise in the Cramster knee guards-they are bionic, have the same level of protection as any other international brand. The same thing in Alpine Stars will cost you Rs.3500. Now whether you want to spend that money for the brand name is upto you. I repeat, features&protection wise Cramster is no less.
