Then you're essentially looking for a mesh touring jacket with Gore-tex/Drystar lining, and a removable thermal liner. A Alpinestar jacket with all these features will set you back by anything between Rs.15,000 - Rs.30000, depending on which model you buy. Jackets having Gore-tex are the best bet when it comes to being waterproof - but is always more expensive to Drystar lined jackets.Originally posted by Prakrit Takkar View Postguys i need to buysome riding gear

I love thermal linings, but once you take them out in summers, it wrecks the fit of your jacket.

My AGV Sport jacket does just that. Its a water resistant tectile-mesh construction with a water proof liner underneath.Originally posted by Prakrit Takkar View Postguys i need to buysome riding gear

For the winters and monsoon (i dont ride much through the monsoon) you're good with everything, for the summer I usually remove the liner as it gets really hot and sticky otherwise.
While at that, get full length knee and shin prtection pads. I've been using a pair of Komine, and they are of superbb build quality, a shade better than A*'s that a friend of mine uses.Originally posted by Prakrit Takkar View PostAlso i need to develop some cornering skills. Well for 1.2k touring gloves are hard to find though you can get probiker's and dsg's motomesh but they are ideal for city riding for proper touring gloves you have to increase your budget.Originally posted by RanjithMN View Postguys can you recommend good touring gloves for around 1.2k?

Perhaps Nero would get a facelift in the 2010 collectionOriginally posted by rahul9985 View Post
Thanks for the detailed reply bro..
I came to know that Maze is not waterproof and i dont like Spike. The only option for me is Nero. I checked out the Cramster jackets. They look very dull. As i said i cannot have two sets. One for dry weather and one for wet weather.
Coming to the gloves. I have decided to either take Cramster TRG2 or DSG Primal. And Jackets Iam thinking of Nero. Will check out cramster once again.
Anyhow i would wait for the 2010 collection.

Friends, am planning on buying the A* Reflex Elbow, Knee guard. Now, I see that there is only one universal size for them. Am a bit on the thinner side - so was wondering if it would be a good fit? Also, is it possible to wear them underneath the jacket/pants so as not to attract unwanted attention to myself?

TWIST are a good deal, VFM, and as rohit said, very much reliable for winters and no doubt are very much comfortable for long rides.Originally posted by RanjithMN View Postis Cramsters TWIST any good?,its 1.4k!
