Its not about the colour or design.... the Balaclavas range from 50Rs to 1350Rs! The kind of fabric being used, combed, if so then how many times etc make a difference.... I guess the ones that Aryan da is talking about it is the one without a breathable liner....Originally posted by inder.cool View Post

Nice looking jacket buddy.
While your friend brought this jacket and gloves to India, was it box-packed or he broke open the seal so as to make it look 'used' to the custom officials.
I am planning to get some gear from US through my mom-dad so wanted to know if the custom guys create some problems?2002 - Pulsar 150 Classic (Still owned)

So you didn't get the the white or red Devil design!Originally posted by Jonak View PostGot myself a Studds helmet with removable padding. The printed price was 1699INR. Got it for 1350INR. also got a balaclava at 180INR.
Anyways, can someone explain the meanings of the signs on the sticker?
BTW, the signs mean (my best guess):
1) Don't use at night (that's a tinted visor)
2) Don't use broken visors
3) Don't wipe with hand
4) Recycle broken visors
5) Not very clear but might mean to clean the visor with a cloth or something similar.
Adding to what you said, not sure about other stuff but I bought R15 Gloves from Yamaha accessories over an year ago for Rs 2000. Bought them purely for snob value. But they turned out to be very good. They are more comfortable and more reliable than the the very good DSG's (not the entry level stuff) and Cramsters. For one, these gloves were used in continuous rain (for at least 4-5 hours) thrice and they show no signs or hardening, tearing off or colour fading unlike the other two makes I have used that show these signs in one such rain. Didn't really like them when I bought but I'm really liking them now.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Post
The Yamaha Apparels are nothing great, DSG\Cramster is much better than some of them! They are decent VFM stuff, nothing great about them! Just forget about em

You can get 25k worth of items when coming from US that is the allowed limit. Cloths and jackets customs wont bother you, They will only keep an eye on electronics items.Originally posted by Devilpulsarian View PostNice looking jacket buddy.

Ya, its better to remove all box and packs and keep it as normal cloth, it saves space for your parents and also wont fall into customs eyes.
Amazon sells all the items of Motorcycle superstore, And amazon accepts Indian credit card and very customer friendly.Last edited by shamanthnv; 12-11-2009, 06:16 PM.---------------------

Where in Pune I will get a decent tank pad for my GS150R ?? How much it will cost ?
Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostYou mean the Rubberized tank pads like in P200 etc? you will find that with local Pulsar Mechs for cheap!
You can buy good tank pads from DSG of keiti brand...Hey guys,Originally posted by inder.cool View PostCheck in Funky's at MG Road..!!
Was planning on getting a tank pad for my FZ-16. Would it stick to the tank well as it is made of plastic and not metal. Also out of curiosity what is the main functionality of the tank pads?? Is it to protect "valuable equipment" while braking hard???
Everyone falls down, doesn't matter...
But its how fast you get up, that matters.....

what is interesting is that they have a quite good range of gears from leather & Textile jackets, gloves, shoes...
found the attached one interesting and planning to buy one... your comments on it... This comes with the shoulder, elbow, & back CE protectors, Thermal liner which removable. Price quoted by them is 6k

IMHO - Please dont go for those fake ones. Me & Steve checked out the shop last night. It was good to see those A* Leather Jacket / Mesh jackets / Yamaha Fake jackets, KTM Knee GuardsOriginally posted by bikerfas View PostDollars & Pounds in chennai opened their renovated shop floors....

and Original Cramster Gloves / Jackets.
I would still suggest you buy Original Cramster than the fake ones. It doesn come cheap either, 6000 bucks for a duplicate Yamaha jacket. Do you think its worth it? Tough enough to survive a crash? I dont think so.
Please think/consult a lot before buying these fake riding gear. Happy Riding.
P.S: The Yamaha MT01 standing there is a wonderful mod job on a Pulsar

@ananth: when i came back home and browsed in the net- gave me the real prices for the jackets. they were costing somewhere around 10 - 12k.
Planning sometime to ride to Bangalore and get the gears from there directly.
abt the Yamaha MT-01, it was the same yellow version which they had before, this time its a new paint job on it. front and rear parts are from yamaha itself, engine from pulsar
and the body parts done somewhere in chetpet i think...
