textile offers better protection than mesh.however mesh is more practical for summer and daily rides. textile can never beat the mesh in terms of breathability but a well ventilated textile is a good option if you reside somewhere in the north. because the mesh is almost useless in winter, coz most of the mesh jackets doesnt come with a warm liner.mesh has very good air circulation
which is a boon for summers but in winter its a nightmare.
so my answer would be:
if iam in north india where winters are very cold , i would go for a textile one with good ventilation, coz when the temp is 40c it doesnt matter if you are wearing textile or mesh you are going to sweat, a little more with the textile one. however in winter mesh without a thermal liner is almost useless unless you decide to wear it over your sweaters and all.at the sametime a textile jacket with a liner can be used as a warm jacket.
there are certain mesh jackets which comes with a removable thermal liner. if you lay your hand on one.then its the best for Indian climate.
if iam in south india where we need a/c to keep us cool even in dec ,mesh makes very good sense. unless ofcourse you are touring.
my humble advice to the manufacturers in India
it would be great if the mesh jackets are provided with zippers for attachment of thermal liner.the cost will be less i suppose and dont bundle the liner with the jacket but provide the thermal liner as an accessory.which makes alot of sense for guys who cant afford two jackets and want to use a single jacket the whole year.guys towards north can buy jacket with the thermal liner and down south can buy without it, and if someone wants to go north while touring he just have to buy the liner instead of a full jacket. any one listening

Guys, I need some help. One of my very close friends has gone to UK for studies and now he's coming back in next two months after completing his studies. He is planning to buy some riding gear from UK before coming back. He has asked me if I need something from there.
1) Is getting stuff from UK a good deal? I mean from US it's totally different thing. It's quite cheap there as compared to India or UK. But how bout UK?
2) Can you please gimme some websites from UK like we have www.bikebandit.com for US.
Waiting for your reply guys. Thanx in advance

thanks Bro!! i too think that polyurethane being extremely abrassion, heat resistant and tear resistant should be better than denier. added advantage is that it will be waterproof as well. i think i should go for getoffurass, but still waiting for a review by a user before taking the final plunge .Originally posted by yuv_biKING View PostI jus googled to compare them... not able to conclude, but i feel Ballistic polyurethane has more abrassion resistance than a 600 denier polyster...
dont know bro !!!! but prices are almost comparable on the net.a lot depends on the product as well.some products are priced less than the us and some others are priced higher.so search the net and zero in on your purchase; compare both the prices and if you are getting it from us at a considerably less price go for it and get it shipped to your friend in uk.Originally posted by ketan_r15 View PostGuys, I need some help. Bionics are the best in my view. I gave used cramsters which cost just 1.5k.Originally posted by mangaloreaviators View PostHi,

Bionic means in the shape of the body... Bionic will have a part above the knee hinged at the knee, while the Reflex one does not.Originally posted by mangaloreaviators View PostHi,

Anyone knows how to take out the back guard of a Cramster Riding jacket? It has a zipper sort of thing. But the back protector is not coming out of it. I need to wash my jacket asap.

Jonak Da!! Which jacket exactly do you own? I recently got myself a DSG Maze.. but its no good in the winters... also for my future Leh plans (Eventually).. I think the K2K will be quite good. Is the Cramster Gear worth the money?Originally posted by Jonak View PostAnyone knows how to take out the back guard of a Cramster Riding jacket? It has a zipper sort of thing. The thing is, I really dont want to buy anything from DSG anymore because their service is hideous.. to say the least.. and the online support department are too rude to get any repeat customers..
And anyways.. they have already blacklisted me...

Because i ordered 3 things.. they sent 2 of them wrong.. when i complained.. they got hurt...
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I have Cramster Pulse. The jacket is really a great buy. It really worked wonders in north sikkim trip at this time of the year. Anyways, I did not get answer of what I asked.A professional candid photographer - 17000+ followers. Be in touch
