+1 to that... even I had a bad time with my first helmet... then I bought a new AGV (original, 6.2k) and it has anti-scratch/anti-reflective visor... and man, I can see the world just like normal eye....Originally posted by sheelpriye View Postor else(and best solution) buy a new helmet which has anti-scratch properties(for visor) like MPA-agv
Well, but if you are not in a position to get a new helmet, atleast get a new visor... and keep it clean.

Get hold of under water gogglesOriginally posted by harishsangwan View PostBut spectacles dont provide full covering to eye...
else there was an eye-wear doing the rounds by health department during bird-flu
which shall cover your eye fully, if you can get hold of that
Driving=Car? right? with windows rolled up and front windshield why would you need glasses?I cant use my helmet while driving, so would prefer a pair of eye wear instead...another thing, I just got my visor change recently but as I said a pair of eye wear what I am looking for...
Riding=Motorcycles, where visor takes care
A helmet which costs !1 to 1.5K, the visor shouldn't cost anything more than Rs.200, you can keep changing them every 3 months and clean the visor wuth wet tissue/colin and cotton cloth and don't rub the visor if it has foreign particles(dust/bugs)stuck to it, use water, soak it and then gently remove it

I know the difference between driving a car and riding a motorcycle...
Looks like u have read my earlier posts...I need a pair of glass/shades/eye wear for night riding and driving to avoid any refraction of light causing low visibility due high-beam light coming from other vehicles...

I did read and didn't understand, everyone gets blinded with the on-coming vehicle's high-beamOriginally posted by harishsangwan View Post

try not looking at the on-coming beam, try to look at the left side if you are being blinded while staying away from vehicle's path
once you start driving/riding more frequently you shall get adjusted and carry on with your driving/riding in a much smoother manner
I don't think there is a solution for what you are saying, munching more miles and being comfortable with night riding/driving seems the only bet here

I expected something better than that...Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostI did read and didn't understand, everyone gets blinded with the on-coming vehicle's high-beam

I have done enough riding and driving at night or day to get adjusted with it...but that doesnt mean that I should look for a better solution...just coz I can ride a bike even without a helmet doesnt mean that its the only solution...Originally posted by sheelpriye View Postonce you start driving/riding more frequently you shall get adjusted and carry on with your driving/riding in a much smoother manner
Night trips are pretty dangerous in India due to lack of appropriate street lights and then the screwed up roads...Originally posted by sheelpriye View PostI don't think there is a solution for what you are saying, munching more miles and being comfortable with night riding/driving seems the only bet here
Theres good eyewear available to assist for night riding, driving but I am not really sure as to which ones are better and what to look for, when buying the same...
Guys I need your help here..Last edited by harishsangwan; 03-10-2010, 05:31 PM.

@harishsangwan: I ride&drive in the same city as you&agree with you completely, high beams from 4+ wheelers are blinding&dangerous.
However, I do not use any eyewear coz it further reduces peripheral vision.
While in my car, I try to use the dipper when I'm being blinded by oncoming high beams-it works sometimes.
For my bike riding, I use helmets with scratch resistant visors, which do not scatter light much. I believe most of the new helmets from Rs.800 onwards have SR visors. They are the best bet for night riding.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

LOLOriginally posted by RanjithMN View PostCramster MX3 Gloves for 1200Rs is pretty good but i faced an issue. On long rides when you throttle for long your thumb gets cramped and starts paining,i had to remove my gloves for sometime!
but then i chopped the tip of my thumb and all is fine now!
. I did the same thing to my DSG motomesh. It gives me a lot of pain in the thumbs after long ride. But me, I decided to clipped off both the tip of the glove's thumbs
. Now am happy. I got another new pair of GPR Racing gloves for 2.8k. This time I made sure the thumbs have sufficient space.
Edit: Whoops! I just went back and read your post. If you mean literally chopping of your thumbs as in flesh. Man, no offence intended. Thought you meant chopping off gloves and mistyped.Last edited by kaynmantis; 03-08-2010, 01:47 PM.

You guys havent heard of tinted visors is it?
Have a look at a Yellow Tint on the helmet pics here which works well in Day and at nights? I am now using a Blue tint which again works well in bright light and in low lights @ Nights... most importantly they cut glare too!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

help
Foam backpad vs. CE spine pad. Which is more protective. Can anyone suggest me a good jacket at about 5k. If needed i will increased my budget. Please help me out. I will be using the jacket for everyday commute. Mandatory that it should have a waterproof lining.A fact -- It takes more love to share the pillion seat, than to share the bed.

I will never advocate lidless riding, be it nights or day... if you have a reason to buy eyewear to ride lidless may be its a better idea to walk or take the car.... if you are promoting a eye wear... send some to me, I will write a honest review about it!Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostI have done enough riding...that was a spelling mistake...my bad..
