Actually, I'll be going for a Kawasaki N650 some time later on, so I anticipated that I might actually touch 150 occasionally, I mean after the rod is removed.Originally posted by aargee View PostAll of them are good & most ppl seem to prefer Nero over Maze, not sure why.
That's why you've the dedicated threads...
Nope!!! A* is not a VFM product & carries over a margin for their branding as well & that's why you've JR, RJ & Planet DSG for rescue.
Funny thing is that, you said you want a protection at 150 Kmph even after having a steel rod in your right arm for 6 months now!!!
Nope!!! Had you gone through this thread doing your homework, you could've found that most ppl buy stuffs from Cramster, PlanetDSG, Bachoo, PRS or Raw Adventures in addition to a very minor community importing from abroad.
Samarth, you only saw my posts being offensive & that's the reason you didn't see why I suggested it!!! Your requirement was a plain looking clothes with no frills & there's only Kevlar type of material that is available in that category & I'm answering to your requirement.
Anyway, I don't intent to make fun or sound offensive. All I was trying to say is BE MORE REALISTIC. Had you done your homework on going through the thread, then your questions would've also been more realistic. Anyways, let that go for now.
And there's also something that suits your budget to perfect - Raw Adventures, India
They're importing Scoyco riding gears & carry much better VFM than RJ/JR or even Planet DSG. Few of our Chennai members have bought products & are more than satisfied on both the product as well as the sales experience. You may want to give a try.
I was wrong; the armors can be removed. It does matter for cleaning the jacket.
Once again, pls let it go if my post hurt you
Of course, with the rod in, and the bone healing, I don't exceed even 60 kmph on my P180.
Thanks for clarifying a lot of things, especially about Alpinestars. I'll be looking at all the links you mentioned now, specially that Raw Adventures one to see what suits my preference. I'll extend the budget too somehow.
Your post was fine and not offensive. It's just that on that day, I had a hard time convincing my family about riding gears. They somehow believe that destiny will happen no matter what.

@ PlanetDSG.com: Thank you sir for the recommendations. You're right, Ajmer is quite hot! I'll check those pants out on their release. I can wait for 2-3 months to make an informed decision. I have registered on the DSG website with my e-mail, in the meantime.---

Guys needed a bit of help in choosing the correct saddle bag for my FZ.
Kindly note, this is specifically for Leh ride.
i am confused between "Cramster Colt Saddlebag" which retails for around Rs.2.1k & "The Road Company Dirtsack Saddlebag" for around Rs. 3.2k. As far as i am aware of, these bags are water resistant but not waterproof.
I am planning to pick up one this week.. so any suggestions or comments would be really appreciated.

I have been using the DSG Nero on a daily basis for over a year and a half now. Find it extremely good in heavy showers, a little bit of water trickles in at the neck (blame the forward centric pose of the R15)in such cases but otherwise perfect for monsoon riding. If you remove the lining it is manageable in summers. Cant go wrong with it.Originally posted by SiD13 View PostHi Guys,
I wish to purchase a jacket please suggest a good one. The requirements are as follows:
Should have rain resistance (removable preferably)
Should have paddings, goes without saying huh! (back, elbow & shoulders)
Should be suitable to use in summers ( i live in southern part of country and summers can be as grueling as rainy season in the state of Kerala)
Budget - Max 6K
Have eyes on - Cramster Breezer and DSG (Dont know which one would be most suitable, Nero/Phoenix/Maze)
Please suggest which would be the best choice or suggest some other product (Getting from abroad is not an option, as i definitely want to try it on before I buy, from Cochin/Bangalore)
That said most of the kerala xbhpians use the Cramster Breezer. You can check with them for first hand experience in our summers and monsoons. A few people have had bad experiences with Cramster since some of their products have seen a dip in quality.
Sabu will have stocks of both. Personally I would go for the Nero which is a tried and tested product.

Guys...I was looking to buy a headgear to be worn under the helmet, something that keeps the sweat away...not talking about a balaclava though..
Maybe this:EVS Sweat Beanie - Dirt Bike Motocross - Motorcycle Superstore
Anyone using such a headgear? Does it help?
