hai everyone,planning to get a decent riding jacket,almost zeroed on RSTrazor leather jacket but then heard that leathers are not suitable for touring much cannot be used on sunny days...would like to your views on it??

listen to the advice - leathers are great protection but unbearable to wear in our climate. If you still decide to go for leathers, at least look for a perforated version.

WHere can I get good & big rain pants? I had one before which is great but its torn from all the wrong areas (read crotch) so its of no use anymore

The 'big' here needed to put em on easily even when wearing shoes and all that jazz.

Finally got my Jacket today

Bought it from Motorcyclesuperstore.com a month back, shipped it to US and had a friend bring it over to India

Paid 179$ for it, but now it's available for quiet less

Got a size Small and it is a perfect fit for me

Here are a few pics of it

Now a few pointers about the jacket..

1. Water resistant AR-600 frame

2.C.E. approved shoulder and elbow protectors

3.Removable insulated vest liner

4.Belt loop pant attachment

5.Thick foam Back protector

The protectors look good and feel solid making it well worth for the buck

I had a tough time deciding which jacket to go for.... was keen on getting the Feildsheer Congo 2.0 Jacket, which imo was good too, but the camo look of the MOT SP caught my eye and also the quality put in making this fine piece of a jacket

It also has a thermal liner inside

I also got me a HJC FS 15 Terror Helmet for 90$ from bikebandit.com and also got a free Deluxe bag for it... At first when they shipped the helmet they did not include the bag as mentioned in the item description, but later i got in touch with the Customer support and made sure they sent me one free of cost and i was successful in doin so... Indian habits die hard

I have tried both the jacket and helmet, both fit well They are a perfect fit, and i can say we can trust the size chart on the website and order without any worries

My friend packed the Jacket along with the luggage and the helmet, my friend just walked in and out of the journey with the HJC helmet bag in hand without any questions asked B-) And my friend happens to be a girl B-) So they took the Helmet bag as a hand bag

Fieldsheer is a great jacket for the price too .... you can also check out jackets from Shift racing...

I guess customs wont charge you for anything under 20k dude... not sure about it ....

i m using octane. and yes its worth it. amazing breathing / ventilation. very useful in hot conditions when compared to other jackets.
it has got good quality armour too. already saved me once

cant comment abt the boots though. have no experience with them.
