Yes the two are compatible. In fact almost all modern motherboards are compatible with modern graphics cards.Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostFinally i have zeroed in the following items:
Motherboard: MSI P45 C51 8GB DDR3
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 4850 XXX 512MB DDR3
Can anybody tell me if this two are compatible with each other. I will be using Quad Core Processor. And which PSU will be more suited to the above two.
Use a VX450 or maybe a CM Real Power series of ~400-500W, should be sufficient.
And, just for kicks, what CPU have you zeroed in? Not considering the AMD option?200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

I have decided on 2.66Ghz Q8400 Quad Core.I am out of touch of recent AMD Developments. Also a rough comparison between the prices of Intel and AMD is not much and the Intel has slight edge in terms of performance as far as performance as concerned in some reviews which i have gone through.
Will a 450W-500W be sufficient? I was thinking of a 600W.I will also be using a 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM.

Oh, yes, I vividly remember you mentioning this somewhere else in this thread too. But, if you do get an opportunity to try it out on some other laptop/ PC, do try it once. The level of detail and the controls/ physics is just plain amazing.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostNot compatible with my Laptop.. Coz of low configuration video card.
What other games have you been playing off-late? Do you like third person action/ adventure titles too? If you do, then I am sure you must have heard or even played "Batman: Arkham Asylum".:)

@Rachit: Yes, I am totally into video games, apart from photography and traveling!
And I am slowly but surely making sure that my girl-friend also gets hooked into gaming; the other two, she already has enough experience in!
P.S: I used to play Quake-III over LAN back during my college days, and boy was it fun!
