Hey guys i am planning to buy a new console..
What do you guys think?
Xbox 360 or PS3 ?

multiplayer is kinda easy. your teammates stick to the plan and after a few tries you can pretty much predict where the opponents will be/would do etc... but playing online is a whole new experience. players join and leave all the time. nobody listens to what you say, you cant predict where someone will be etc...

took my entire summer vacation back in 11th to complete IGI 2 in hard mode. what a game that was.

try playing CS1.6 online. you'll get addicted to it.

IGI 2 at that time was the best available..and till now it commands respect ! ! !

CS1 will be hell tough for people who havnt done well in IGI or any first person shooter....

We bunch of guys used to have multiplayer sessions..and boy u gonna sweat it out to win.....ultimately after 1 year or so....people were experts in weapons,moves n reflexes and most importantly team play and sticking to your strtergies ! ! !.....I miss those days so badly ! ! !

igi 2 is very fun to play .and bit long to cus it very hard and take time to do missions ,it tool me a week to complete that bridge blown part.

well i just completed call of duty 1 .nice game .the artillery in game is old and well designed . and get shocked how men died in world war 2 . also watched world war 2 in color on discovery how berlin got collapsed ,exactly how we do in game.

completed delta force 2 a long time back its also a good shooting game.
and nfs uc also .

well any body had played wolfenstein 3d its a old game i played it some where in 2005 . it was my first game i completed in 3d.

u got to play out IGI 2 well..in order to progress in 1st person shooting ! ! !....I consider it the basic game to learn 1st person shooting....

I guess u are new to gaming(NFSMW is some 6 years old)...newazz..pick up IGI 2....as ur first person shooter game...will test ur skills for sure....play it in hard mode...

The uploader had not supplied the crack and all the people were . Finally he provided a link to the crack folder which was from another torrent file. Copied it and installed the game.

When i start the game its fine. The movie loads and just when the intro movie is complete and the game has to start it gives me a DirectX error.

Apparently its working fine for quite a few as per the comments but some are having issues like i am facing.

Hey.. just a wild guess... try running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2 or Windows 2000. Also, do a hit-&-try with all the checkboxes mentioned under that field. Might work out. Does for me a lot of times...

@mach 50: There is a menu for graphics under options. Check. RAM might be the bottleneck with mine as Ive got the exact same G-card and a better processor.

@n_aditya: If youre using the nvidia disc to load your graphics drivers, then that might just be the problem. 9400 GT is atleast a 2 year old card and the drivers youre playing with might be the same age if youre loading it from the disc. Go to nvidia.com and search for the latest drivers, download it, install it. Worst case: Even if Black ops doesnt work, most of your other games will much work better.

@ Sherry_unicornlover: Hey, if you like tactics based games, try jagged alliance 2. Its damn old but also damn fun. So, is the commandos series. Other than that, similar game to freedom fighters would be Full Spectrum Warrior(military sim).

Where can i get a reliable directx installation and the c++ installation? I installed directx and the c++ redistributable from an original CoD game dvd but the problem still exists.

you can get directx from official microsoft site here and remember to uninstall existing directx from your pc first....
no idea about c++ though....

^^^^ dude, Ive got more or less the same rig....quad core q6600, 2gb ram and 8600gt. Crysis 2 struggles at max settings. Im playing on very high graphics and 800x600 and game plays OK.....changing the res to 1024x768 makes it stutter and lag. Youre probably playing it on lowest graphics setting if you have no problems.

I use 4GB RAM, I use 8600GT 512MB.The game auto adjusted the graphic settings and 1024x768 is its default setting on my device.Somehow I did not notice any high or low graphic settings adjustments in the graphics control panel in my copy of Crysis 2.I only found a Vsync and brightness adjuster.

install the direct x from the again...and after that re install the game...i too have at times faced this kind of problem..but cldnt recal exactly wat i used to do..but try wat i said and check..shld solve it....

I have physx installed. I have the original nvidia installation cd so no issues on this part.

There are 2 kinds of shooting games. One is First Person shooter where you see the game from your eyes. It's like you are a part of the game. I love these games.

The other is third person shooter where you see the character and control him/her. This does not entice me much.

Call of Duty (all series), Resistance, Black, Crysis, etc. are the best shooting games. Some are not available on PC though.

Yes. I have the Nvidia 9400 GT, 1GB graphic card.



XP SP3

All other Call of Duty games (even the crack versions) work perfectly. I wonder why this one is giving me issues.
