Hmmm...budget is kindda a constraint..cant buy an xBox now Its too expensive..!!

I dont have much time too for playing it regularly..!! So, simply for time pass on weekends or weekday nights..

Inder, new PS2 is retailing for around 5-6k (my friend saw an ad on TV)
I recently got an old PS2 from my friend who was selling it for 3k.

but remember, if you buy a original PS2 (not modded) you may have to spend more on games which cost anywhere around 1000-1800 buck.

PS2 is totally outdated man , Buy a X 360 instead .
A Ps2 in grey market costs around 3.5-4.5 K .

good buy for small kids who dont need the firepower of the X360/Ps3

It depends my friend. Its like you start riding a 150cc and go up to 1000cc.
So for some, the 150cc aka PS2 would provide enough firepower. then maybe after sometime they get bored with PS2 and then decide to move on to something with more power.

finished gta san andreas 3 days back on ps2 i must admit its awsome game the best in gta series.. now trying my hands at god of war in spartan mode man i must say sony did a wonderful job making this game awsome graphics taken PS2 to another level . but there r some glitches in the game dvd but still it is running very well. its a must play for action adventure game lovers..

So, you completed missions only or full 100% complete?

If you completed missions only, upto "End of The Line" Mission, then you have still a lot of game to play ...

I have completed GTA SA 100% and a Tank & Fighter plane are outside CJ's house now, permanently ...

yup bro 100 % finishing the game like san andreas takes lots of time. the most difficult sub mission that i found was taxi mission.

I too have completed GTA SAN ANDREAS !!!!!!!!!!! it was one of the best game I hav played!!!!!!!! I went to the market for the new gta parts but they require high level graphics card !!!!!

XBOX 360 costs 26k(20GB HDD)...
Recently there is a new version released called as XBOX arcade..
which comes with 60gb HDD and HDMI output
Its quite costly.. I think 30k+

oh mannn... 26k... thats too expensive.. are u sure thats the correct price.. coz a cousin of mine bought it a year ago for 14K +6K for HDD.. if anything, i expect the price to be dropped now..

A serial on TV said 16,999/- ... That's the original version, not hacked. Along with 10 DVDs.

Go for it my friend. It is definately worth it.
Dont forget to buy a extra memory card so you have enough space to save your game profiles etc.
The front of the PS2 has got 2 ports for memory and just below that there are 2 ports for connecting the controllers.
Check the attachment.
So atleast by 2 memory cards with the highest capacity. If budget is a constraint here, one will do too.

xbox with 40-60 gb will cost 25 , but u can always buy ps3 80gb for 24-25k which is any day a better deal than 360.

p.s. no brand wars please , just my opinion.

@inder : dont buy ps2 , there are hardly any new games on it and the graphics will disappoint you for sure.I sold mine in less than 3 mnths to upgrade to a ps3

@Inder: If budget is a constraint go for PS2 if not PS3 since you have the luxury of blu-ray and sony's proprietary technology.
