Pre-Game Procedures

Finally got Modern Warfare 2 installed, and if you, like me have an "alternate version" you better be reading this because it's a hell to get the game running otherwise. If anyone needs any help with the installation just PM me and i'll reply the procedure.
As far as the game goes, i'm 20 minutes into the gameplay and the quality shows, but i'm still reserving judgment so, i'll post the full details in a few hours time

I used vista only for a short duration that too on a laptop i kinda liked it.
My desktop was running XP all along just tried Windows 7 for a few days and i cannot move back to XP.If you try windows 7 you WILL dump xp for sure.The only annoying thing is the UAC popping every now and then which i think is a good thing(Better to be safe than sorry).

I have absolutely no idea what a first group release is

Synopsis:
The much awaited M.W.2 has taken the world by storm grossing nearly 300 million selling 4.7 million copies by the first day! And there is possibly no way you wouldn't have known unless you have gone back to the stone age. So lose the club and go get your copy.

The 2 is basically a exponential term, there is a lot more action, more locations and more characters. Quality also has improved a lot not that MW had anything to complain about but still. The game is fast-paced switching between various location and characters, a lot are new some are old, which is kinda nice as it familiarizes you with the game a lot more. The welcome addition to this game is the vehicles you sometimes get to drive, though it is not as much as i wanted but it is kick ass, and gets the blood pumping! The missions are intense and plot is sometimes is so outrageous that it feels like a Micheal Bay movie. If you are a CoD fan and loved the MW......................What the hell are you doing reading this?? Get a MW2 and find out yourself!!

Graphics/Presentation:
Like i said quality has improved and there is much more attention to detail, certain missions just surprise you with the expanse and the panoramic view it offers, like a stage where you chase a guy through the streets of Rio de Janeiro whilst defending yourself from hordes of favela gangs, the view is simply stunning capturing every little detail so much so that i sometimes paused to look around. The menus are simple and effective and so is the load times so you get to the action faster with little fuss. The compass has been revised and your objectives is marked on the screen with a proximity indicating the distance of the objective, which makes it a lot easier compared to MW where sometimes you are just running around in circles trying to figure out what to do next, this helped me a lot as it is very hard to catch orders through all the firefight. The plot is sometimes too similar to the first installment, even some stages in missions are exactly identical. But that is a minor grouse and can be overlooked.

Gameplay:
This gameplay is short and i mean very short, i finished the game in six hours under normal difficulty and i am new to playing such hard-core shooters. I wouldn't be surprised if someone here finishes it in four hours! But when you play the game solo, you realise that this game wouldn't hold your attention as much if it were any longer. Halfway through the game i was finding it hard to not feel monotonous, barring a few moments like a riding a snowmobile off a cliff (That was pure awesome!). But because it is short you are compelled to plow through the game. The game requires absolutely no strategy, just duck behind cover, spot, and shoot. But it's not easy you'll have smoke, sparks interfering with your line of fire, you'll shake violently when hit, blood will splatter on the screen (a nice touch) making it harder to focus. However the finale was all too abrupt, the tension rising throughout the game somewhat fell flat at the end, though it is my personal opinion. Apart from campaign there is also a special ops feature where you can run a two-man team online or go John Rambo to finish certain stages of the game, though there are a few new ones included, it hardly made much difference since the format lies unchanged.
Personally i'm not too interested in online play, at least my 15-30kbps broadband doesn't let me. But this game is a out and out full time multi-player shooter. Probably that's why the single play is short, i don't know but when the campaign itself is called "For the Record", you know this game is basically a multi-player shooter with a something thrown in for guys like me (if there is). But someone else must comment on that here.

I have absolutely no idea what a first group release is

our juggad copies are all release copies.each group fights for supremacy once the clone dvd is up on their forums.the one who cracks the code first wins.the one that u have is from the very first group which made an incomplete code..so the install procedure is weird.the second came up but the exe had an extra path attached to it.finally the third release group came and fixed everything.

so now i hope u got some idea of the group release.

^^ Oh i get it now, yeah mine is the very first release group. It was so incomplete that it had no game application, and the default installer Steam reported missing files while installing, so i had to get a custom installer off the net along with the .exe's and a few .dll's as well.

first of all do u want a PCI express card or normal AGP card
i got my 7300SE 256MB for 2900INR(approx), so considering your price range i think you can get only 256MB card for that price
