Xp is good for old generation games,win 7 provides much better support than xp would,only thing u need is enough RAM and good GPU in hand to get everything running without flaws.

Hmm. Hopefully the addition of another 2GB module will improve the overall experience.But as far as gaming is concerned, i am not having much problem in playing NFS Shift as it's running smoothly with all the settings to the max.

Try out FPS games. There are some awesome games like Half Life (this is a classic!!), HL-2 (and it's various parts), Crysis, Bioshock and the likes and you would not only be an NFS fan. I can vouch for that!

Is frame rate higher for same game , same system but W7 instead Xp ??

well 1 more thing i would like to add

along with ur ram , gpu , windows their is also direct x version which also matters

i have noticed that certain games like crysis run faster with direct 9 or 10 than 11 eventhough u may have the ati 5800 1 gb gpu ( thts in my comp)


but overall the framerate will decrease in winows 7 not by a huge difference but little but if their sufficent memory in ram and gpu u may not even face that also

Ya thats because DX11 has new stuff like tesselation etc which is demanding stuff.

Btw you have the 5850 or the 5870? My new system build is going to get a 5850 in a while...

5850 ati ----> why cus its 30% cheaper and 10% slower than ati 5870 and tht too in overclocking name a game which requires it

corsair 750 w snps

gigabyte.... solo atx cabinet----> as corsair was not available at tht time

ripjaws 4gb ram

p7p55d asus motherboard



but im generally on my laptop which is alieware m15x

And possibly a new Lcd, the current one is a 17' (1024x768 max. res) and so all games are going to run exceptionally well on it

What res are you running on? Good frame rates all around on all games?

nice system bro.... well never bothered to check the frame rates as i run it 1080 pure hd.resolution without any glitches ... 26 inch benq screen and logitech z550... 5.1 surround speakers.....

hey friends is there anyone who can help me with sony PS2.

I am a newbie to the PS2 and i want to get the chinese market memory cards, does any1 knows where in pune i can get it.

Secondly the dealer says the indian model supports only 8 mb of memory card.. is it true or i can increase it to 32 mb?

Thirdly is there any option to play pirated PS2 game cds on the console?

Shrinath: 8mb is pretty much enough for saving the games on the PS2..! It hardly takes some amount of kbs per game storage file.
