How much for a 2002 model suzuki Fiero?
Hello guys,
what's a good price to pay for a used Suzuki Fiero, single owner, packed engine and giving a mileage of 45?
he is asking 26k. Is it too much?
and I see in the earlier posts that you can get an RX 4 speed for 10-15k? Any place in Bangalore where I can get a decent one? Even 20k is fine with me..

Some more points to check before you make a deal:-
1.) Call up the Insurance company and check for any previous insurance claims. Big claims indicate major accidents. Stay away from such bikes.
2.) Check for service record of the bike. Most bikes wont have full service record, but if owner is like me, he will sure have bills of every service of the bike. Such bikes are worth paying extra premium as you can be sure that you are getting a bike that was fully taken care of.
3.) Stay away from bank ceased bikes, they may come cheaper, but the previous owner may create problems during transfer.
4.) Take a good mechanic with you and do full inspection of the bike. Before paying the amount, take it to a Authorized service center and get it fully checked.Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

I will be buying a second hand rx100 in a couple of days and was wondering what all documents shall I ask from the owner. He is saying that the bike is in the name of his big brother. He also says that he will provide a cover note and the RC of the bike.
The bike is Delhi registered. I want to get the vehicle transfered in my name.
Now my questions are:
1. What is cover note? Is it the "letter of sale" like this : http://www.biharonline.gov.in/Static...9371093750.pdf or some thing else?
2. What does a cover note do? Does it just serve as a proof that I have brought the vehicle and not stolen it or does it serve as a contract agreement in which I can put in clauses ?
3. If the cover note is a contract agreement then, can I put in a clause that the owner has said the the engine is running on stock piston. And if later on when I get the bike inspected and the engine turns out to be rebored, I can give the bike back and take back my money as the owner has lied and do not fulfill one or more of the conditions of the contract of sale?
4. How do I get the vehicle transfered in my name? The bike is delhi registered so that won't be a problem. But how do I go by the process of change of name?
5. The bike is a 1995 model. Since it is 15 years old, it's RC is just about to expire if not already expired. How do I get the RC revived?
6. What would be the cost of transfer to my name?
7. What would be the cost of RC revival?
8. I asked some of my friends about this transfer of name stuff and they said that you will have to get form no 29, 30, 31, 32 and 33 signed by him. Is that true???

P180 UG4 (Gujrat Regn.)
Hi,
I am from KOL. Got offer for an used P180 (UG4) 2006 Nov.model.
The bike, I believe is not too much used as the owner was away for most of the time. Now both the Owner & the Bike are at Kolkata.
Pros:
1) Condition is OK. However needs maintenance as not used for long
2) Price is negotiable.
Cons:
1) It is having Gujrat Registration (from Surat)
2) Insurance failed.
Pls advice :
1) If I should at all opt for it.
2) If yes - at what price.
3) And finally How should I proceed with the documentation. (Starting from Surat RTO NOC) as owner is not here but he will absorbe the GJ NOC cost.
4) Cost (approx.) of Documentation.
Pls advice.
Shaswata
