No need to panic so much though, over 20-30k km, it will fry your valves which will lead your bike to breakdown(in the middle of nowhere if you are unlucky ).

The above statement means, you can get it done when free, but don't remain busy for too long .
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The bike will accelerate better and will also register a higher top speed, since those are the symptoms of a lean engine. But to ensure if its TOO LEAN, take the bike to redline and notice whether the engine sputter or anything, if yes then you need to upjet, another symptom would be that the RPM will keep fluctuating when the engine is hot.

• While running lean would you not get a better mileage ? For K&N users on a pulsar 220 what is the the mileage / average you get before and after ?

only in low rpm, short rides.
Ride it hard or/& for long and you will notice lower mileage that too with the cost of engine damage.

FI can do some settings on itself but higher gains can only be seen after getting your bike's ECU re-mapped.

• K & N for RX 100

Guys

Pls suggest if I can go for a K&N 1060 for my RX100 with a VM26 Carb...will it be better & would the performance go up further. Though am not looking at racing, looking to get more peppy n crispy pickup & to get a adrenaline rush when on highway to just test the limits.

Just Curious as I have it unused for quite sometime, havent dared to test these on my RX, but looks like I should try this

Pls suggest

If you want results go for porting and chamber-ing, K&N sound and RX natural sound will be errrrr... idk, doesn't sounds right, i don't know about vm26 but if the AFR at full throttle(especially) is lean, chance for an engine seizure is too high.

Your answer makes me think the other way now...

I dont want huge performance change, just a little more crispy / peppy note which would give a little jerk is what I was thinking about.
