    hi splitsecond,

Its not comparable in the low end torque range, which means the bike is very sluggish in traffic and needs a lot of rev's to keep her moving. It only gets worse with a pillion. It's managable however and many r-15 owners have learnt to live with that.

If you intend to use a pillion(a figure conscious GF would be a better bet) for more than 20% of your riding duties, look elsewhere(& not at the R15)

It isn't as bad in traffic, as an enthusiast I don't mind shifting through the 'box and it is not tiring for me. See what suits you.

^ Precisely! I wouldnt have a problem even if it meant constantly shfting in traffic, but then again, it's me, a sometimes revv hungry yet calm, 20 something Non IT guy...

Hope you've had test rides of both these bikes.

^^ i already suggested him. refer to page 1....

but sometimes it is irritating to see some posts from some various members without any logical reason backing the post... just in this case
"buy r15 you will never look back to p220 or xyz bike again.." is there any solid reason behind it..

Hey @Lijo...as far as traffic thing is concerned, it depends upon usage as well...See if you would mostly use bike on highways then R15 is good...
And in city also it depends how much traffic intensity is there...
I have chosen R15 because I live in Chandigarh and traffic here is not congested like in Metro cities...It is very much manageable...So I dont think I would face any real time issues with R15 here...
I dont have idea about your place....So please look into your requirements as well...

@ rishu: agreed. If traffic is a major problem, ther 220 would be better. I would say the 220 is equally good on the Highways, maybe not as zippy as the r-15 but never the less a beautiful bike. The Vibes can be a issue but not a big issue at all. One main issue I'd love to talk about is the cost of spares. Yammie spares are a bomb whereas bajaj spares cost less.

That maybe because there are not much things to change often on the yamaha and they would love to charge extra premium when there is a sale.

i will summarize the whole discussion in short. i hope i do justice.

BIGGEST FACTOR : IS MONEY A DECIDING FACTOR??

                      A) IF NOT GO FOR R15 BLINDFOLDED.

                      B) IF YES P220 WOULD BE IDEAL.

                      p.s.: i own a p220s and i have ridden r15 on a long trip(back pain is a big factor in r15...i am 6ft tall).

                        Hi guys ,

First of let me thank all of you for your great suggestions

                        I bought home a Impact Yellow R15

                        Reasons

1 . I am not living in a big city and the traffic is less

2 . As i owned pulsar , love to check a different breed . But surely i loved my pulsar . She seved me 3 long years without any breakdown or any other problems

                        3 . I loved the look of R15

                        Guys ,

I am posting some pics, which i took while riding her home .

yeah bro the bike is the best bike in india but i thought the word (best bike) might be a bit provocative & hence had to use the other word (one of the best).
