If you ll be using it for much of highway riding Gs150 makes sense if restricted to city alone p180 will do being a pulsarian b4 a p180 will be a more plausible upgrade

Both the bikes are good if you do regular maintenance. The Pulsar needs a little more care, but it could serve you with better parts availability, mileage and cheap parts. I could'nt comment on GS as I didnot own one.

I'll suggest you GSR any time.....regarding power stuff it provides you enough power..........with TS of 127kmph....thats not bad........and its fun driving it on highways and with your details it will be well suited for a person of your built......mileage what i am getting is 57kmpl .................for city driving with its 150kg weight.......its a bit heavy .........but it sure gives you feel of riding something BIG...........and its even one of the most refined bike in India.......

Test Drive for 3 or 4 kms

Try a test drive on both the bikes for 3 or 4 kms
before that list down what you are expecting from the bike
both are not bad at mileage

opinion and feedback differs for each individual
In my experience with GS150R its good for city ride as well as long touring am getting 52 kmpl city mileage and once got 62 on pure highway abuse
in Bangalore my suzuki servicing is good.

i can't comment on pulsar as i didn't own one, but i would say pulsar pulsar everywhere even 180 or 150 or 220 they have more similar looks

i have rode pulsar 180 as my roomie is having, he only suggested me to take as he is having very good experience and passion about bikes

and few of my friends said that suzuki is new bike and have small small problems likewise, i am so tentative about these two bikes

As said earlier try test drive for 4 to 5 kms possibly at-least 3 kms

all are good bikes; it depends on how we maintain

no one is super man here everything does have its own devil (aka demerits)
thats why it needs a personal inception to reveal the truth try test drive it wont cost you rite

I test rode P180 before finalizing GS150R. New P180 is certainly improved in smoothness of engine, but rest I am not sure about the quality. If you tap on the metallic parts like tank of new and old P180, you can clearly notice that the metal has become a lot thinner! Whereas GS feels solild. I loved the stance and sitting position of GS, hence went for it. Both are able tourers, with P180 having far bigger network of SC than GS could possibly have in next few years.
