@ Felix - yeah!
At first I'll take it slow, but after a couple of tours, I will be more than willing to ride 300 to 500 km a day!
@ Raja - Yeah, I know about the Karizma, but I don't want my dad to spend so much (he is willing to buy me anything, even a bloody R15!)
How about a second hand Karizma then?
And guys, I am going to buy the bike through Defence services CSD. I'm not sure whether it is available in the CSD. I'll be able to find out in a few days though.
The Unicorn (older version, not the Dazzler). It's there for 54k. I heard it's an excellent tourer, I hate the looks.
Guys, how is the HH Hunk when it comes to touring? And the CBZ X

HH hunk is also a comfortable tourer like others. It has got the same engine which is doing its service in CBZ, unicorn, Dazzler etc. Performance wise it is nearly equal to CBZ. But still many have reported to get better mileage in hunk & better speed in CBZ. Looks wise the hunk wins & comfort wise also the hunk wins due to its GRS.Originally posted by raghavtlwr View Post

Repost of deleted ones
Thought they(mods) would have reposted the missing posts since its not done till now i will try to tell what i intended to tell(upto what i can recall from my memory).DO post a question on what all you should look for while purchasing a second hand karizma in the karizma ownership thread it may give you some fruitful information since you re buying a used one definitely the run in period will be over and the engine will be all set and you can start touring without any wait or restriction on speed(ripping and topend) why i mentioned 20k km's on odo is, there may be several reason for a person to sell his bike soon after purchase(less kms on odo) 1.he may be leaving overseas 2.A bike which interests him more may be on market and he wants to go for it 3.may be got the bike in finance and unable to payback(do look for such things if you can get at some lower price then its a steal go for it even if it is not completed run-in) 4.(this is very important)may be some serious engine problem not all engine that comes out of the factory are alike for this you got to have a test drive of the vehicle and karizma owners can shed some light on this do ask them in this question on ownership thread and do have any eye on any mods done by previous owners bro you are in xbhp people here are really helpful(but mods they deleted my posts
dont know why did they do it) so dont worry my friend have a chat in the ownership thread you will get handful of information . I have blabered something upto my knowledge hope it helps...My best wishes

@ Raja - Thanks buddy!
You Rock!!!
@ Madhav - Thanks for that handy info!
I'm seriously considering the Hunk now!
Anyhow, just in case I have to go for a new one, I did some homework and found out the CSD prices:
HH Hunk - 53.3k
HH CBZ-X - 54k
HH Karizma R - not sure, the guy said around 68k
Bajaj Pulsar 135 - 54k (not in CSD)
Bajaj Pulsar 150 - 55k (instantly kills the idea of the 135!)
I found out that there is no Suzuki Showroom here! I'll have to try and find out by other means........
Does anyone here know the cost of the GS150R?Last edited by raghavtlwr; 09-03-2010, 08:10 PM.

@ Raja - I talked to him already. He says it is more zippy indeed. But don't you think the 150 is still a cut apart. It has slightly more power, and more importantly, torque!
@ Zayn - Thanks for your input bro!
The Dazzler is a great bike, but it is a tad too uncomfy for long rides.
Bunny Punia (The Bike India journalist) said so in his review. And the ride was just 60 kms!

yeah i got the info its the first single cylinder to have 4 valves in its heart(engine) simce its doing well no issues with the model so far ;you can expect bajaj to launch this 4 valve Dts-i thing in other models too viz.150,180,220 models so visit the nearest probiking showroom guy talk to him on this issue may be they know will the transition of models to this technology will happen soon or bajaj hasn't planned yet hope you can get some idea on thatOriginally posted by raghavtlwr View Post@ Raja - I talked to him already. zAYN unbelivable you are suggesting a honda thought you were a die hard pulsar fan but people we got really nice buddies here like zayne he has given an unbiased option looking onto what will suit accordingly to the thread starter unlike some people who give biased opinionsOriginally posted by zayn View PostHonda Dazzler rocks...go for it anytime...

@ Raja - In that case, I think I should wait. There are upgrades coming up in almost all 150ccs!
I'm kind of skeptical about buying a second hand. I checked the local second hand market today. The bikes are selling for as high as 40k even though it takes no rocket science degree to know they are f***ed up! I saw a Karizma 2007 model, whose tank had been fit together (maybe welded) after what seemed to be a crash. He said it took a fall at the guys house (yeah right). He won't sell it for less than 37k!!!
And about Zayn, it's nice to know there is another very helpful xbhp member here!

but one thing i can assure you handling and reliability only hero honda tops it that's why it is undoubtedly the largest motorcycle sold ever in the world people grunt the spares are way costly but the number of times you gota change them is 1/50th ntimes compared to other bikes if your budget permits for serious touring i recommend the zmr or zma with few mods you will have a best touring bike in hand for touring definitely you got to care much on handling and reliability than those bhp performance figures
