  • ZMA vs R15 Vs Avenger 220

    Hi Guys

I want to decide between the Avenger 220 , New ZMA and YZF-R15.

I will be using my bike for a 30 Km commute daily to and from work & touring once every 3 to 5 months.

I would like to get atleast 30 km/l mileage and also I want a the bike to be as low maintenance as possible , I work in the night shift and it's hard to stay awake to take the bike for repairs every now and then.

So in short I want something that is great as a commuter but also good for touring.

    Thanks for your help,
    Ashish.

    Safety first.

Zma is the bike for u,a perfect tourer and commuter.delivers mileage around 35~45kmpl.The other two babes needs little more maintenance.

you should choose between ZMA/ZMR according to your budget..both bikes will suit your needs..

they require low maintenance..give decent mileage(ZMA-35km/l, ZMR-45km/l)..comfortable..refined..great torque n power packed relieved engine for Indian roads..& also FI + digi speedo + rear disc blah blah blah in ZMR

+1 to what Vishnups17 said. ZMA. Fits in perfectly for the needs you've mentioned. But if you're going for the ZMR, looks are a bit on the dull side compared to the ZMA and performance is only marginally better than the ZMA. So, i'd say the you should go for the ZMA!

I heard that the ZMR gives better mileage than the ZMA - is that true ?

Go for ZMR, it really looks unique and outstanding on the Road...nowdays even R15 is quite common on streets..

+1 to ZMA.The ZMR(to me)looks inappropriate in styling compared to ZMA

Yes, I agree with everyone here. ZMA is the best choice. The ZMR is a waste of money for the right reasons, but you can go for it if mileage is the top priority. I am an R15 owner and can vouch for its low maintenance and performance and styling, but its got harder suspension which isn't as comfortable as the ZMA for touring. The R15 is also delivering good mileage for me *43kmpl* but I have to be careful when to rev the bike, coz its a damn revvy bike and tugs you to rev it higher and higher

Overall, comfortable city commuting and occasional touring = Karizma ZMA.
                          D'oh!

+1, ZMA is the one for you. ZMR is no way worth of paying that extra 25K..
