Looks: I dont like the thin tyres of R15 and the rear look is not that great. Otherwise R15 looks great. I was also not interested in pulsar looks. But the pulsar overall looked bulky and manly. I previously had pulsar 150. So i didnt have much interest to get pulsar again.
Tech: R15 has got latest technologies like mono suspension, Oil cooling, Rigid body,.. But that is not going to have a great feeling for a 150 cc Engine. Pulsar 220 also got liquid cooling. It has got powerful projector lamps, DC Supply.
Though R15 has latest technology, i dont want have a 150 cc in a place where 220 is available.
R15 is for racing tracks, where too good for corners. But the new P220 also good at cornering. Road grip, braking, stability are both are more or less same.
P220 looks formal as well as sporty. It has got more power and better acceleration than R15.
As far i heard from my friends, R15 mileage is very less for a 150 cc.. 30km/lt or lesser.. atleast P220 gives around 35. And heard that R15 needs more maintanence.
so, finally i convinced myself to get P220. Ride height is high. Riding through traffic and cornering are very good. Acceleration is too good.
for spending 1.2 lacs in R15, why not wait for 2 months to get mojo?
If you are not considering about maintenance, 1.2 lac go for R15. If you want more power go for P220.

And i dont like herocycle karizma.. my options were just R15 and P220
First of all the R15 has got liquid cooling & the p220 has got oil cooled engine. Secondly the R15 has got lesser maintenance than the p220.

You are saying the R15 to be a no value for money. then what would you say a ninja 250?? The R15 is more then what it is. Its not just some 150cc machine with technology. Its a lot more fun to ride than the p220.

The mileage vary on the rider. Some have even obtained 45kmpl also. Even if ridden insanely the p220 can also return you 25kmpl.

There is even more but since my fingers are paining to type i am refraining from doing so.
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

the only reason to prefer a p220 over r15 would be the price difference.
at 100kmph+, r15 beats the crap out of a p220

If you do ride an R15, dont take your chances against the new carb'd 220 especially 100+. Chances are that you will come out with a huge ego bruise.

Anyway, as DK suggested, Mods, please close this thread.
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

                    hi,

i tell you about my personal experience, if you want a bike with substance then go for P220.
When you are running on a highway and you want to overtake long crawling trucks then you need Torque to make agile moves. Torque is available in ample in P220. its just the little twist of wrist that fast overtakes are possible any moment.
Whereas you will require r15 to bring it in the power band. I dont' say that r15 has no power but that power comes quiet late... i.e. at higher rpm. and on roads YOU are never a REV JUNKIE... ! that you will go on revving a r15.

This case is everywhere on crowded indian roads. We need torque and not a high revving engine because there is no place to rev that engine.

Next. R15 feels as if somebody has attached big cardboard to excite the kids and call it a fairing. And r15 feels small... only a person sitting on a p220 can make that statement.
I dont' mean to hurt the r15 riders... no offences intended.
