  • Need urgent help in making up my mind!!!

    Hello fellow bikers,

Well this is my first ever thread on Xbhp so please forgive my way of writing and pardon my language...

I already own a Ninja and am currently using Honda dio for regular commuting purposes.Recently i turned 18 so wanted to upgrade to motorcycle with gear
After long awaiting for the Mahinidra 2 wheelers bike that turned out to be Mojo which i did not fancy i finally decided to go and book myself a Red R15 and so i did....

The thing is that i was never really fascinated towards buying the R15 as a very good friend of mine owns it and get a chance to ride it almost every day. Have ridden the bike to its core and have pretty much explored it..so there wont be a sense of excitement on buying the R15...anyways due to lack of choice as i didnt want the P220(Hate it donno why??) i had to book the R15 and was happy with my decision.

    But,
Now recently i heard the News of speculated launch of CBR 150RR in India, now this really changed things for me, every part of my brain which was filled with R15 is now completely flushed and replaced by CBR....I mean it is perfect bike for me- Its new, looks awesome, has same or better power output than R15 is expected to be priced almost in the same range as the R15
So now i am just not satisfied with R15, now i want the CBR. but for that i'll have to cancel the booking of my R15(before 30th oct) which will mean loss of 1k rs as penalty, now that would have been OK if there was concrete news regarding the launch of CBR but now the I get thoughts that,"what if i cancel my bike and the CBR doesnt launch OR what if i stick with the R15 and then CBR launches."-this thought has really put me in a dilemma as to what to do

So i ask all of you guys to help me make a decision.

    Thanks in advance
    cheers,

    Neeraj.

the honda looks more commuterish and sports tourer type..where as the R15 looks like a toned down track machine...
    this is interesting !!!

Yaar, don't do that. It the unveling of a bike somewhere in the world could cancel sure booking of their bikes, it would send a big chill down the spine of Yamaha India people.

Don't take my advice if you don't like... But if i were you, i would cancel my booking of R15. Plus i would never ever buy R15 because by now i would have realized that she is not my true love and i would never enjoy her anyway. Getting my drift ?

Calculate your move...I bought the RTR160 in Dec,2007 and the R15 was unveiled in Delhi Auto Expo around feb/mar 2008...Not that am unhappy with the RTR(its a diff story though ) but given a choice I would have surely invested on the R15 then.Wish we had concrete news around 2007.

Wait till Oct 30, by which the CBR 150R should have been officially launched in Thailand. Info about whether it will make it to India should probably be clear by then.

This is what really irritates me why dont manufacturers be more clear abt their upcoming bike...i waited for such a long time expecting something good from mahindra but mojo failed to win my heart so after giving up hope of anything new coming i bravely booked R15 and now i get this news....

Even if you buy R15, do you think people will tell you that you made a wrong decision ? Or is it, that CBR will be godly better than R15 ? Remember there is always some thing better in futur, when it comes to buying products.

True but the fact remains that the even if marginally i think the CBR will be better than the R15(atleast in term of look with that sporty tail section n exhaust) and if ever a CBR pulls up besides me i will feel hopelessly depressed and feel like killing myself

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
