You are kidding me right ? How come that makes you hopelessly depressed ? Remember, Biker respects other biker, yes, i understand we have the urge to get the best for our bucks. But you have garbage going inside your brain. Your investment will never be in vain. R15 is a racing tool, but when you look (New) CBR 150 it give's me a sport commuter look (though i might be wrong). Think about it in this way, no matter what you purchase, you will have one of the best bikes available in the market. Period.

      +1 TO THIS.
@stig. whenever you get the bike, there will always be an option after some months.. get the bike if you love it.. if i was in your place, i would have cancelled the booking right away. but thats my take cos i know where my heart is

there will always be reason to wait...
buy the R15 if you like it.

        but beware...
        there's a Honda CBR250 coming up.
        a VTR250
        a Hyosung 650... maybe even a 250.
        a Kawasaki 250.
how could i forget the yamaha 250.
        the 300cc pulsar.
        the 125cc Duke.
        the rumoured 250cc duke.
and the possible fully-faired version of the Mojo too.

you won't ever have piece of mind... buy the R15 if you like it.

the rear of the CBR looks way better than the R15.

        there's clarity for you.

        R15?

Thanks all for ur comments buts sorry to say it isnt helping i am still unable make a concrete decision on anything....

Another key attraction towards CBR is that it is a fresh product a very good friend of mine has got a R15 so i have ridden it to its core(as much is safe n possible in city) so there wont be any sense of excitement in the arrival of the bike...

@Stig: If you think in this way, there will be many many better bikes coming your way in the future.
I got hands on my friends 15. clocked > 150kms during one night and a day. It gave me such a kick-ass feeling that even my Honda City failed to
Not that I had not ridden the 15 till now, but did not want to ride it for long cause I know this addiction is very bad for h(w)ealth.
I expect the Honda to be a notch above in refinement. But the only negative point is with the lack of latest gadgetry. They take ages to add them!
Right now, glued to this thread. By far this has been a educative speculation in recent times

if you can wait for a few months without a bike then wait from this cbr150/250r. if you can't than go for the r15. i myself had waited for a proper 200cc+ bike (within 1.5-2Lacs) for 2years and finally got 220f in july. and now there are no regrets coz i love my ride.

Do u really think it will take 5-6 months for the bike to come in the market, well even if it does i think it will be worth the wait as it looks better than the R15 and is a tad bit more powerful....and it is not like i dont have a bike for the mean time

If you have another bike for the moment cancel teh booking and wait. 1k loss wont hurt much in the long run.Let the CBR or whatever it is come, compare both and go for the kill.

P.S : I think this thread went severly OT. You can start off in the WHAT BIKE section.

Neeraj: You already have 3 pages worth of discussion on your query. Your anxiety is understandable, but nobody can ever give you any concrete info until the bike is launched in a few days in Thailand. So wait for a few more days and then decide, and you already have 1-2 bikes in your garage, so waiting for 2-3 months isn't going to be a problem either.
