Both p220 and karizma zma are within your budget but you can't expect the 45kpl mileage you want. pulsars are unreliable? that's rubbish mate. have you testdriven a honda unicorn? nice bike, decent FE, reliability: c'mon its a honda! and it also falls well within your budget. fz and fazer are more show than go!sigpic

think about it, where does a pulsar stand in relation with a honda or a yamaha in terms of reliability ?
From what i know, the pulsar is pretty good upto 2 years or so even if you maintain it really well. after that problems just start coming whatever you do. chains getting lose every now and then, rust, battery problems, brake problems, mileage starts reducing...bla bla bla. Ask any workshop personnel. The bikes that make the most frequent visits there are pulsars.
Yes. its good. but I cant wait for atleast 6 months (yes. atleast is the word the dealer told me). Moreover its way too common and its more of a middle aged man's bike.Originally posted by RogueRider View Posthave you testdriven a honda unicorn? nice bike, decent FE, reliability: c'mon its a honda! and it also falls well within your budget.

BTW, I've booked for the FZ-16 Midnight Special LE. They've run out of stock and said it would take about 10 days to reach here from delhi.
Better performance ? Is there a notable difference between the two ?Originally posted by Satyamzma View Postlet me confuse you--
handling is better in FZ but suspension is better in Dazzler....FZ looks better but Dazzler gives more millage as well as performance....
Both of them have mono-suspension and its adjustable in FZ right ?

hey congrats on the bike. though i haven't seen the midnight edition in the flesh i've heard it looks gr8.
Maintainence-wise as i have figured through research on the site:
keep it below 4k rpm before the 1st servicing and below 6k thereafter till the second or the third servicing( depends on how much you wanna pamper your bike).
this is the minimum that is required.i figured this by assimilating a lot of posts, do check around for other tips if u like.
P.S- Happy diwali to u and ur familyThe purpose of biking -
100cc- to get from point A to point B
125cc- to get there fast
150cc- to have some fun while getting there
200+cc- to start from point A and forget when point B passed by
It's not the ride but the rider that matters!

FZ a good choice..but i feel fazer looks better else both are same [engine suspension everything]. but you have booked it so go for it.
regarding run-in till 500kms you have to ride it like a electric bike..
..i mean below 4-5k RPM below 60km/hr. after that little power bust but dont red line it. and when you do 1000kms get its first service done. and ride it like you stole it
....some people say before 2000kms you should'nt run it hard but i don't think so. after 1000km run in is complete..infact major run in is done in first 100kms and manual also says that till 1000kms you should drive it slow..regarding oil change after 100kms its up to your self satisfaction else not required..

Hey mods,
not too sure about this... correct me if I am wrong, but since the thread starter has already finalized and booked his choice of bike, wouldn't this thread be better off closed and the rest of the discussion continued in the Ownership thread?
