will give it a try. But i have to convince my dad.. He has already decided on the unicorn. This is one hell of a job..!!Originally posted by sayank10 View Posttry the new 2012 rtr,not the facelifted one, they are hell lot smoother than the previous gen.and the other thing is,you know it is always better to have more power in tap than more smoothness.

Didn't say that rtr has lesser pickup, what i mean to say is a slight sacrifice in pickup of the uni can be accepted due to the smoothness it gives.Originally posted by sayank10 View Postsee apache 180 can keep up with a p220 upto 60 kmph,so you can't say apache has slightly lesser pick-up than unicorn.
secondly unicorn will give you max. 50 kmpl with in city riding condition, while rtr will max out at 42-44 kmpl.
so you get a benifit of 8 kmpl, which translates into 35 paisa benefit,so you are not saving much while you are loosing pure hooliganism.
choose wisely, there is still time to grab the old rtr.

Leaning more towards unicorn because of its overall edge against the rtr acc. to me. i.e,
1)a slightly less power w/o vibes feels better than raw power with vibes
2)digital elements are welcome, but i can live with the uni's console.
3)gives the highest mileage in its class(55-60kpl), i guess.
4)mono shock
5)low on maintainance
6)comfort, mile munching capabilities, as they say it
7)brand image and resale value.
8)elegant simplicity
(now my heart says unicorn too, but keeps on fluctuating from one to another)
Guys, do i look bad on unicorn or will i have any problem while handling it? I'm asking all these to you guys because i won't be able to have a TD any time soon. What about dazzler? I avoided it from my list because i didn't like the looks of the tank scoops(NOM). How does it look when i remove them? Has anyone done it? Sorry for going overboard and asking about the modifications to be done on a bike which i don't even own. Its just my exitement.
Btw, did you guys check out the new rtr's(160 and 180)? Frankly speaking, the current ones are way better looking imho.

fi is discontinued.Originally posted by kadadevaru View Post+ 1 to that...
go for rtr 160..if u do have budget then go for fi version instead of hyperedge...worth the extra money spent..although its even costlier than 180!!
if you have the budget i strictly suggest rtr abs,or rtr 180 over 160.

+ 1 to that...Originally posted by w4rrior View PostIt definately will perform like new if you maintain it very well. And if your heart says rtr then close your eyes and go for it. Don't listen to your mind, it'll cheat on you later.
