Sz-r has 153cc. Even though it makes 12.1ps while p135 makes 13.5ps with its 135cc mill. Will that slight difference on papers make effect on performance? Which one has better cornering ability, better acceleration, stress free engine, sporty riding position etc? And, what about FE? Are there any other bikes to opt?

LS will give you the refined feeling in low end (under 4.5k rpm). And above 6k rpm it acts quite differently I must say
.
Out of the 3 listed I dare this is the best performer. The top speed I've gained is 114km/h.It'll do more, don't worry
. For the last 6 months(& 7k kms) the only prob I'm facing is two nuts been rusted, other matters will be taken care of by the svc guys.
Go ahead and take the LS. It won't disappoint you
.

Both SS125 and SZ-R similar in weight and seat height. Pulsar's need little additional maintanence compared to Others.
Test ride all and decide the bike
. All the best.

If you are looking for performance why not try apache 160 or pulsar 150 (If you can increase your budget)
Otherwise Yamaha SZ-R would be a good choice.

Look buddy you have to compromise somewhere. u will not get a bike which will fulfill 100% of what you are expecting.Originally posted by hayaz_xlr8z View PostGuys, i'm an 18 year old with a 5'6" frame. I was browsing the web (mainly xbhp) for the past two years. And, this is my first post. I'm confused to buy my first bike. I have shortlisted pulsar135ls, yamaha sz-r and ss125. And, as i'm this young, performance does matter. I use the bike for both city as well as on highways. I need a forgiving gearbox as i'm not so experienced.
IMO:
P135ls is the one i love the most because of the power and the long list of goodies. But i'm afraid of the low end grund, refinement (as compared to the yamaha's) and other hamara bajaj issues like gearbox troubles, vibes etc. I even heard(read) that pulsars have a problem of power and refinement loss as time passes. Even though, i can't resist myself from the p135ls.
Sz-r is good one with the arrival of front disks, macho looks and new colours, but somehow lacks the feel while holding the throttle, and i doesn't like the handlebar, crown and fuel cap. They looks really commuterish, imo.
Ss125: really love the quality of parts used, big bike feel and the revvy engine but hate those sticker works. And as i'm short built, i'm not sure if it suits me, and has forward set footpegs compared to the other two.
So you guys please help me to pick one. Forgive me if i missed out something as this is my first post ever.
Thanks
So find out which are your main requirement and then decide for which bike you wanna to go for..

Pulsar 135 suits the best.....
Its got everything that a youth is looking for in the budget.
But,being a new rider, you will hate to take the bike to the showroom regularly for minor issues(Bajaj & TVS bikes do have minor niggles).& you will b depending on your parents for maintainance.
If your father is not reluctant about Pulsar,go for it straight away.
For better peace of mind,go for SZ-R(its easy to maintain but little less in performance).
