sling shot is a very good choice, only minus is fuel efficiency compared to similar bikes.

To reply to your query here are my advices.
        *HH Passion Pro
        *Bajaj Discover 100
        *Honda Shine
        *HH CD Dawn
        *TVS Star Sport/City
*TVS Jive (cultchless so it will suite him)

But personally speaking, i think Bikes aren't family stuff, he'll find them useless and hard to carry regular things on the bike. He should rather go for TVS Wego, awesome scooter, comes with nitrox rear shocks, alloy wheels, very comfortable. It'll suite him and everyone in his home can ride it easily, good pickup, good fuel efficiency too around 45-50KMPL. Think about it.

I would suggest Honda Shine, nice bike, name Honda says it all.

Good posture, decent mileage, reliable, low maintenance, no issue with service center. Pricing is also within range.

Why bikes? Scooters such as Activa/Aviator/Access are perfect for a family man looking for a city ride. A bike will be useful only if he is looking for mileage alone. Other than that, a scooter offers much more useability in city.

I would have suggested the avenger for him, but sadly Bajaj killed the smaller specced bike. Its more comfortable than anything else!

A scooter would be better for him if he commutes mainly in the city,so i think Suzuki Access would be adequate....and if his priorities are fuel-efficiency,some highway journeys etc then he can choose between Bajaj Discover 150 and Honda CB Unicorn.Very good VFM,IMO.
