Also i would like to add that the R15 because of its reall tall 6th gear might give you a better fuel effeciency on the highway.
For example the R15 at 5K rpm goes to 75kmph whereas the RTR goes up to only 65 kmph at 5K rpm. Hence it might return better fuel economy on the highway.

Also the R15's aerodynamics are superb and will be lots of fun to crouch and hit really high speeds on the highway without too much windblast.

I may not be helping you to make your decision, but as a long time Pulsar owner would you agree Pulsar s**ks after 2 years(as some have been sying for a long time). Did some issues make you not thinking about P220 other than the listed bikes?

          My two cents:

RTR 180 is a different bike after you cross about 5.5 K rpm. It smooths out, the power band
peaks beautifully and is an absolute adrenaline rush. So if you do a test run, make sure you run it to at least till 8k RPM. As for the vibes, they (typically) lie b/w the 4-5 K rpm band, but you should check it out nonetheless, as it may affect the city riding experience. BTW its is silk smooth until the 4K rpm mark as well( just a narrow band where it vibes) .

The fuel consumption is primarily a fator of your riding ability. I wish RTR had a sixth gear to help the fuel cause. But I wonder if running on sixth gear is all that fun ( the power band should be much less in it, but honestly not much idea).

I havn't riddent the R15 yet, but RTR 180 is amazing fun , when run in a long stretch. Importantly, do test ride both of them in long stretch, hitting the high revs to make a better judgment on which one suits you better.

uh may be not 2 years down the line but after 4-5 years provided u spend enough money on maintaining it ......
at present the transmission s**ks, the rear brake drums require frequent servicing and now it gives a mileage of 37.88kmpl but when it comes to vibrations i feel it is better than the rtr 160.....
( i may be wrong cos the pulsar is the only bike i ve ridden in the 150cc segment and may be im just too used to it ) ....i ve ridden the 220 and i must say its a good bike with good handling but im also considering fuel economy ... plus i dont want to go back to the pulsar badge again..
but if the 200cc were still in production i would have considered that...
No its not about speed, its about turning and shifting those gears!

.... thanks for providing info on the rtr....and yes i ll do a proper long stretch test ride before taking any decision.....the other major thing for me is that no matter which new bike i ride now i ll feel its good considering i have been riding only my bike.....it all depends on the test ride now....
