For similar price you could try the SZ-R. I am against the Stunner though. The engine produces vibes. Besides, maintaining the P135 will be cheaper.

Long term is a theoretical argument - buy either of these and you'll want the R15 / P220 next. My vote: SZ-R or P135.

+100 to bold text!! how true, P135 has wonderful top end, for it's size. Once you ride it, the next proper upgrade would be R15/P220.

Dear dear one of my friend buy P135 in 2010 1 st edition.Still the suspension is same as. it was.& he do the total seat work with foam worth rs.300 but alas result is the same.Last time he goes to bajaj service.the mechanic said this suspension problem can not be fixed.Because the rear suspension is directly come from p 150 which weight is around 143+.But the p135 wt is only 122+.So it is same engineering by Bajaj it self. What ever the engine response always on a higher side than Honda Stunner. But this bike is not at all recommended to use as a touring purpose. My vote still goge for stunner .....Yes you also can go for Yamaha SZ-R ..Still the P-135 guy's Bro purchase the Yamaha SZ-R He personally said the P135 has only 10% comfort compare to SZ-R....still choice is your dear.........ride safe.

That mechanic is certainly dumb, rest assured he doesn't know much about suspension & how to adjust that. If you check owners manual, there are clear instructions on how to change settings, you might wanna tell this to your friend?? On that comfort thing, I feel that's a lot of exaggeration, may be SZ-R has a bit more relaxed seating position & softer seat. If Rs. 300/- worth of foam doesn't do the job, sure your friend got ripped by that so-called foam-fixer!! Mine got fixed with just Rs. 50/-. Anyways, the number of votes in favor of P135LS shows how people look at it.

I OWN a Stunner and believe me, it's not much fun to ride. I recon the P135 would be much better in terms of performance.

Stunner vibrates above 60 Kmph even after a front sprocket mod.

Also, I don't find the seating of the Stunner very good as the stock seat is hard and not cushioned at all. it's a flat seat. Stunner's suspension is hard too so riding long distances is not a good idea on a Stunner.

However, in the same amount of money probably the SZ-X would be the best deal.

            My vote for SZ-X/SZ-R.
Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

I own a Pulsar 135 and owned a Stunner earlier (my first bike). In terms of pick up and acceleration, Pulsar is much better than stunner.

About the much criticized Achilles heel for Bajaj-Quality; I have found the plastics and switchgear on pulsar to be much better than stunner. It took just one monsoon to give sticky switches on my stunner - and i mean all switches from self start to indicators whereas pulsar switches are still going strong after almost a year.

Pick up does reduce with a pillion in both, more so in pulsar but you can still rev hard to extract maximum from each gear. Here the stunner loses as it stops short of giving a written resignation when you attempt anything upwards of 80 kph.

I have found pulsar to be more efficient than stunner under similar riding conditions and patterns. both would easily give between 50-55 kpl.

City handling is better in pulsar but feels too light on highways. stunner is composed in both city and highways.

last but not the least - the fun factor I feel in pulsar 135 was not there in stunner.

Well honda is known for its comfort as well as the quality......How could you find the seating bad.....guess thats absurd....my budget is not at all more than 70k.....these are my followings i wish to have in the bike i purchase:-
                1.Comfortable seating(as i tour)
                2.Decent mileage
                3.very good reliability

                Whats your height?

That was a handy suggestion...I was reluctant to buy P135 as it is not reliable compared to stunner..But now i`m having second thoughts..

Hey, buddy just look at the poll, 50 votes to P135 vs 11 for Stunner.. does that tell you something P135 is a much better package than Stunner, you can safely go for it. I'm sure you have noticed number of P135's on the road in the recent past. It's a much more fun to ride bike, when compared to Stunner. Just go for it!!

If you haven't done it yet, go for a longish test ride on both the bikes or borrow one and ride an entire day. If you tour frequently, the 135 LS will never disappoint you as I too tour a lot on my bike with bigger bikes for company (and still manage to be on their tails). My recent trip to Dapoli with pillion and ripping quite hard gave me more than 50kpl. Even my friends who had R15s and 220s were surprised to se me just filling air in my tires and not fuel at every petrol pump. In fact i did the entire journey with fuel to spare for two days daily office commute.

Dude go for pulsar 135LS and these are reasons why:-

you are right vrugonnab Pulsar 135LS is best.
1.stunner vibrates even on 50 with pillion (this is my own experience on stunner which belongs to my freinds i have done about 200kms a day on it from Patna to Rajgir) and i own a pulsar 135 it also vibrates on pillion but it will decrease after svc and vibration starts after 75 with pillion.
2.pulsar 135 delivers far more better power and performance than stunner
3.both of them delivers aproxx. same milage
4.pulsar 135 is better while cornering than stunner
5.the problem with shocker is fixed, newer model is equipped with different shocks specialy made for 135 as previously it was sold with 150's shocker which is harder and hence results in less comfort (and as vrugonnab mentioned before even old shocker can be fixed) and i am saying this as i own new model with split mudguards and o-ring half chain cover model with mrf Zapper tyres.
6.and for sz-x i was also planning to opt sz-x but ended up with pulsar 135 because its best value for money its costs me 60,400 with saree guard and all that and sz-x will cost you same without front disc (disc model will cost you around 63k) and you also have to invest seperatly for look behind mirrors(i dunno what else its called) and will also deliver same milage as the showroom guy told me (he told that it will deliver about 50-55kmpl which pulsar also delivers after svc and if you will ride it in well maintained way)

Does pulsar135 vibrate when you are above 80?

Which one has better after sale service?

Nope, it doesn't. Top end is the strong point of P135LS.

As far as the after sale service goes, check at your place.. it depends on dealership. Other's experience might not be handy for you!!

I won't suggest if you should buy Pulsar 135 or not, but think before buying stunner atleast once. I haven't owned any of these bikes. But out of 30 K Kms of my friend's Stunner, I have driven it for something around 15 K. And as everyone has said, it's just not fun. The bike vibrates after crossing 70-80 KMPH mark. Specifically for the vehicle which I drove, mileage was even less than what I am getting in my 220. No pickup atall. You can hardly cross 110, and getting to 110 takes a whole lot of times, which can be frustrating. But one thing is there. Stunner's engine is damn good. Man what smooth ride you get ( if you are ridding it normally for commuting purposes ). No extra sounds. Honda's engines are really reliable.
A true rider never gets tired and never gives up

Don't think Stunner is capable of doing 100+ speeds.. manual provided by Honda claims top speed as 95kmph!! so the rest goes to speedo error.
