Go for R15 if budget is not a constraint, I own one and it is my first bike.. never felt any discomfort while in traffic... except frequent gear shift while cutting through stop and go traffic... easy handling in Traffic (My average spped in Noida traffic is 60-65 kmph at office peak hours).

else, go for Apache RTR 180 w or w/o ABS as suggested by many.. both are very good in traffic..
Pulsars are good, but a bit very common in my personal opinion (No offense meant to anyone).

@Threadstarter:None of the bikes you had mentioned above are as much fun as riding a FZ/Apache(160,180) & zipping through the traffic. Its your call now!

        D.I.Y-Valve clearance setting RTR180
        D.I.Y-RTR180 brake fluid replacing/brake bleeding
        D.I.Y-RTR180 brake pad replacing/cleaning
Exploded view of Mikuni BS-29 carb

A motorcycle functions entirely in accordance with the laws of reason, and a study of the art of motorcycle maintenance is really a miniature study of the art of rationality itself.

My suggestion would be to wait for couple of months as there are many launches planned around Diwali. If you can't wait you can go for P220S/Apache 180 ABS/P180.

            well i would say;

            1) easy maneuverability, cornering capabilities, low and mid range grunt, yamaha reliability= fz/fz-s. however top end isn't that great. post 90-95 kmph, it loses its breath. you can opt for fz-s version as it has more colour options and a kicker as well besides the regular self starter. the front plastic cover on the head can be removed.

            2) All of the above plus better top end: apache rtr 180 w/wo ABS. i personally don't like the vibey nature of the bike and stock tvs tyres suck.

            3) R15 a true crazy machine: good flickability, awesome cornering capabilities, good top end, slick tyres grip the road like no other, yamaha reliability plus future options of making it a baby monster thanks to power up kits from Joel (:.Welcome To Race Concepts.:). this should top your list.

we at xbhp donot promote/encourage street racing or your so much enthusiasm for cutting through traffic in excess of speeds claimed by you. try and be responsible rider bro.

            all in good spirit

            cheers

+100 by riding fast in traffic at 80 kmph you will not only increase your BP but also put others passengers on the road at risk...so be careful

+1. Cutting and bursting is not a good way to ride. You may feel you are the best, but remember it is not just obstacles you are cutting across, they are humans, with their own logic. It will take only one miscalculated turn from the other person in car/bus or on cycle to land you in hospital. Please ride responsibly.

Is it a good option to wait until Diwali or should I buy one now itself?

Better to wait till Diwali.. there are going to be new launches around diwali, so it makes sense to wait for couple of months.

I think for city traffic 135-150cc bikes are the best since we don't need huge amount of power I had similar requirements when I had to choose my first bike and I choose hunk over other higher cc bikes.Go for pulsar 135 or any of the 150cc bikes
