Dude see its simple some people may face problem even to ride a cycle in traffic while someone may ride a hayabusa on the same lane. I ride my R15 everyday in the peak traffic of pune and i see all 220, RTR180 or any commuter bike travelling at same speed as me with hardly distance of few meters.

See if your heart is set on something go ahead and buy it, you will learn the ride easily. Dont wait for other opinions to pour.

Well, actually it's not about riding in the traffic. You are very right when you say everyone rides in traffic.Even a cycle-waala rides in traffic with as much pace as the R15,Zma,RTR or anything, thanks to the congestion in our roads.

When someone says he wants a bike for riding mainly in the city confines he's definitely looking for some 'effortless' ride. The R15 with a pillion and near dud-low-end believe it or not isn't much fun to ride in traffic. You yourself know how it doesn't move below the 5k rpm! Whereas, take any FZ,RTR or any Pulsar which have good mid/low range they will move briskly through the gaps in traffic.

I hope I made a sensible post without being biased towards a single brand..

@Threadstarter...Choose between the FZ or the RTRs.
Pulsars:You wouldn't find them as agile as the RTR or the FZ!
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Dude check your maths the R15 can be ridden even at low rpms also i.e below 5000. The only difference is you can go on 4th gear in 3000 rpm while i have to go on 2nd gear.

TS.. 4-valve engines generally tuned to develop peak torque at high rpms resulting in below par pull at low rpms i.e. when you change gear below 5k rpm, you can't really go fast as torque is not available in that range, with pillion it becomes that much worse. CBR250 is a notable exception to this as Honda consciously tuned it for our needs. 2-valve engines are generally tuned for better pull in low/mid range of rpms, that's the reason why you see 150cc bikes moving briskly in traffic.

But if you are skilled enough to keep the bike above 5k rpm regardless of the traffic situation, then you can certainly go for R15 and have the fun.

You are right. But if you are seriously need pickup at lower end it is dufficult, you need to rise the rpm with quickly changing the gears. The lower end pickup is low compared to RTR, dazzler and pulsar due to its weight. Once you crossed 40kmph then you will get pickup instantly in 4th and 5th gears and it will reach 80/90 with in seconds.

If you are more than 5'8'' then it is easy to handle the bike weight in lower speeds and bumper to bumper traffic.

Except lower end pickup, weight bike doent have any issues in mileage, comfort and handling.

Guys i don't know it is the correct thread to post or not as a 150cc or above discussion is going on so thought of posting....I currently own a FZ16 bought on Jan 2011 I'm thinking of a upgrade to it in next six months ..my current budget will permit me to buy p220,zmr or r15 ..but as I can wait for next six months is there any confirmed news of new launch?and i guess my budget may extend also..if there is no new launch which will b best for me I use my bike for city commute max and occasional tours..5' 11'' weight 85 kg..riding stunce of r15 is not suitable for me i guess..if this thread is too much off topic mods can delete it i'll start a new thread after few months then..
HISTORY IS NOT ABOUT WHO IS RIGHT BUT ABOUT WHO WRITES IT.......
