    my two cent advice,

buy a cheaper one and get the things done.
look for a bike in the price range of 18k-20k and spend 5-6 thousands for a newer engine setup.

i too was looking for a 135 4speed/5speed. hard to find a decent maintained. finally got hold of a 100 for 13gandhies. if i spend 10k for engine work and new parts, my bike will be as good as new bike. just make sure you have the papers and documents .

do try the second hand bike markets. am sure they will have few maintained bikes.
searching a 5 speed is pain in bangalore. either they are ripped properly or they are quoted too high.
i suggest you to buy a bike for as low as 10k which has few decent parts which can be retained, then start restoring with all new parts along with 135 5 speed setup. that way your bike will be brand new and souped according to your requirements.

              @ bhargava_sr

go for newer model year and also consider which bike is best in over all body line, like cycle frame, handle T rod, swing arm.choose bike with clean papers and documents.

Proud to announce that I am an owner of a RX135-5 Speed

                  Hi Friends,
Today I am proud to announce that I am an owner of a RX135-5 Speed (One of My Dream Machine), after a drastic hunt for the beast since one year picked up the bike on 02-02-2009 at 12AM (Midnight).
                  Here are the details

                  Color - Black
                  Condition - Stock

                  Owner - Single

Here comes the Story of Purchase-

That guy actually slept of (Hang over).

Degraded Clutch, Worn Sprocket, Rings noise, compressor (Boar) has to be Re-worked, failed Battery, 40% life left on Front and Rear Tyres (Had TVS Tyres).

Started Negotiating from 16000 and ended up finishing the deal for 20000, paid him cash at12AM 02-02-2009 and collect the Original RC Book and Insurance Papers (TEO Form and Sale Receipt Formalities yet to be completed)
I started riding the bike at the speed of 60Kmph (Carried a Helmet and pair of Gloves with me). Bike was running fine till we crossed 10Kms, suddenly flames started sparking from the Silencer and I stopped immediately and black smoke continued for 5 Minutes. Started riding again after 15 minutes bike started running fine for 2-3 Kms and Engine shuts OFF completely need a break for 5-10 minutes and again will run for 2-3 Kms and Engine Shuts OFF. Ensured Bike had enough Fuel , Engine Oil and Side Oil. At last I handled the Bike in my Left hand and Right hand holding the Left Rear windows of My car (Esteem) and towed the bike till Hosur stopping for every 15-20 Minutes. We reached home at 4AM.
Tats was a great Adventurous trip to get the Beast Home

Still did not get time to take to a Bike Doctor, will write the status soon.

hahaha thats a funny story. 20 K for a FAT FATIYA seems too much but then again if it satisfies you thats great... now get the things sorted and get it flying...

Today I took the bike to a Mechanic and after a test Drive He said there is no major problem with the bike just need a fine tuning for Carb, Replacement of Clutch Packing, Brake shoes.
However there is slight Rings noise and he said that he needs to open the Boar and check the Piston and Rings condition, if worn out then needs a Re-Work, Will get the confirmation tomorrow.

5-speed cylinder bore is getting to be a little difficult to source. Just make sure you have a reliable mechanic to get the bike fixed for you. BTW 20k is a good price.

Note - Its not boar, its bore. (boar is an animal, wild boar ). Its technically called cylinder block.
