Good to see you have updated all.

    Hi Folks,

I am ganesh who went to pick up the bike with Bhargav.
I am a silent member of X-Bhp for a quite long time.

Bhargav, good to see you have put all the troubles you and the bike had.

Also good to see few members was really OK with the price offered.

    Guys .... I have a query !!!

What is the functions of CDI exactly. I have heared many RX-135's CDI replaced with RD 350 CDI's.

Just wanted to know the functionality and the difference if the CDI is replaced on the bike.

Picked up the bike from the Service Station and ready to ROCK on STREETS

      Further more parts replaced -
      Acceleartor Socket
      Suzuki Swing Arm Rubber
      Chain Adjuster Bolt
      Carburator Oring Kit

Clutch Bell Reset done, Used NC Thinner to clear the Paint marks on the body. Water washed and took a test drive --- Bike was like just Vrooom Vrooom liked the Throttle response and did 80kmp in 3rd Gear, was able to touch 110kmph with the Top Gear, was traffic further else would have done 120kmph I guess. We found that engine was shutting OFF while getting it from Bangalore because of a Air lock in the Fuel tank, so cleaned the Fuel cap and Bike is now running perfect and smooth.

Mechanic says that to install a Throttle response cable, 2T oil supply cable has to be removed and oil should be added in the Fuel tank while filling the fuel, Guys please let me know if there is any chance to install the Throttle response cable without the oil supply cable removal.

The cdi determines how your bike behaves.. i.e the powerband, curve/map of each and every bike.. the cdi [Capasitor Discharge Ignition] has a capacitor which gets charged and discharged.. which powers your HT coils and atlast .. produces spark from the spark plugs..

The RD350s came with points ignition.. only the last batch of RD350 LTs came with a kind of CDI/TCI based ignition system.. to the best of my knowledge, it was not a proper CDI unit.. but a kind of Newtronics/ Auto Escorts variant.. made by Kokusan Denki.. only experts can clarify this..

You can replace ur RX135s static analoge cdi with a Digital cdi unit which will be far better.. they are available @ rddreams.com

Low Pickup after replacing new Clutch plates

Yesterday I got the Clutch plates replaced because they had worn out and rev was too high. I also got a new Exide battery installed, repalced the Fuel TAP, Front Head light Assembly (YEZDI Doom)
              Cost involved
Yamaha Stock Clutch plates - Rs35 each plate, Total Six plates so Rs 210
              Fuel Tap - Rs55
              EXIDE Battery - Rs650 (15 Mon Warranty)
Head Light Assembly with lamp - Rs650
Also Lubricated the front Fork by replacing the Oil ciel & Fork Oil

After repalcing the Clutch plates the Initial Pickup of the bike is reduced, I dont feel the previous power, My Mechanic told that Carburator is tuned properly and thats the maximum pickup the bike can gain as the Bore & Piston/Rings are bit weak and there is a very little play in Crank Shaft.

Please suggest if the pickup can be increased just tuning the Carburator, because now I cannot burn my pockets by re-work on Bore & Engine. Iam actually saving money for RD CDI & RD carbutator & Fibre Reed Valves.

Are you sure its the RD CDI and not the RDD CDI?

Wait - if your engine needs work, if the rings are gone, if there is play in the crank etc...

what is the point in saving for a CDI and fiber reed valves ?

Putting those on the bike in its current avatar will not give you any long term performance gain.

First fixup the engine. Get it into stock condition. Run-it in for about 1000km at least and then proceed with the other mods.

                      Yes my dear,

Nobody will put the RDD CDI & Fiber Reed Valves when the bore & Piston are weak for better performance, I will Obviously fix on engine and then upgrade those parts - thats basic sense
My brother is saving money for Engine Work and Iam saving money for performance parts

                        Tyre Query

                        Hi Friends,

Iam planning to change the Rear and Front Tyre for my Rx135 5 Speed,
Currently its running with TVS tyres and are in in very bad shape.

I am thinking to go for the below tyre specs (Make - MRF) -
                        Front - 2.75-18- Zapper FS
                        Rear - 100/90-18 Zapper Y or Zapper Q

I heard that with the 100/90-18 tyre i would not get Initial pickup however top end will be better
Also few of my Yamaha friends & also mechanic suggested me to to go for Yezdi RIM and CEAT tyre in the rear and CEAT tyre in the front (not sure about the specs) which will result in better Initial Pickup and may reduce the Top end, howeever when ported the Top end will increase.

In future I would defenelty upgrade the performance of the bike by a complete Engine work, installing RDD CDI, RD carburator and Fiber Reed valves. I guess the tyre also plays an important role when its come to the Initial Pickup and Top speeds. I really do not want to compromise on Initial Pickup and Top speeds so please suggest me the best tyre specs for front & Rear which actually suite my requirement.

I had bought the black side sheild for RX135 (plain black with RX135 silver tag like) in chennai 3 months back. Yes, initially they said would need to order, I paid advance to procure and was told would take few weeks. The Yamaha dealer called the very next week and said it has arrived. I was not sure if they really got it from orders placed or got it from other dealer.
However, it was original. See the profile pic.. that's the new one..

You might want to check with Rajaji Nagar Bangalore Wheels (M/S BANGALORE WHEELS #1016/1 MAIN COMPLEX 1ST MAIN ROAD DR RAJ KR ROAD IV BLOCK RAJAJINAGAR BANGALORE-560010 KARNATAKA).. when I was trying for Carb few months back for my RX135 4S, they had stock which is quite rare. They were ready to ship across to chennai if full payment is paid. Then I was lucky enough to change few setting like jets to do away with buying a new carb for my bike .

I'm sure it would be worth giving a try with Bangalore Wheels.
