Yes dude...Avenger 220 is pretty cool for you. Also a good looker...
If you like cruiser kinda bikes then go for it... Its better than the Enfiled thunderbird in term of looks ( RE looks cramped ... like punched from both sides to make in not much lengthy)
And whatever bike you buy....... Use Motul engine oils !!

If I were you, I would go with Avenger. It was the bike I learnt my biking on, in the "Eliminator" form (its previous name 175cc). I love that bike. I am a little skinny and hence I dropped it. Its the most comfortable bike I have ridden. The seat is "wide" so the bottom is nicely pampered. Pillions are also treated well. I hope it has a fuel gauge now. The prev ver. didn't
Ditch the fazer. After a 180 you cannot go back to a 150cc bike.
Currently own a ZMR. Its pretty comfortable too but the premium is not justified.Hero Honda Karizma ZMR
The speedometer is the most useless gadget on a bike.

p220 is the right bet
Go with the 220 if u lack patience (if i were in ur place i would wait for the new pulsar in colab. wid KTM), i own a 220 dtsi, n therez no vehicle that u genarally find on indian roads that the bike hesitates to over take(even the bmws n audis), in ur case overtaking should be a priority as i dont expect the roads to be very wide. the riding posture could be painful only if u go more than 100kms at one go but probably the joy of riding the fastest machine in India overshadows everything else. vibrations in the faring is a issue only as long as u fail to adapt to it(it does irritate in the beginning but i have accepted it now). braking is decent not too good but with time u will know ur limits. mine is 2yrs old now but still makes people to turn their back for another look(but i advise not to get carried away with that), n yes the bike is stable at even speeds of 140-145, i did 147 n still dint feel any stability issues. fazer is crap, avoid it. but do try to fancy the new pulsarsLast edited by xesh; 09-19-2011, 04:47 PM.

yeah i did get the news of upgradation/release of new pulsars , but i am worried if they just release the 250 version with 1lac+ price tag , i will be doomed , my wait will go for nothing , but if i buy P220 right now , i will regret this hasty decision as if the P220 gets some upgrade ,mine will be outdated, man i am so confused , last time when i had to buy P180 , after 2 months P220 cameOriginally posted by xesh View PostGo with the 220 if u lack patience (if i were in ur place i would wait for the new pulsar in colab. wid KTM), i own a 220 dtsi, n therez no vehicle that u genarally find on indian roads that the bike hesitates to over take(even the bmws n audis), in ur case overtaking should be a priority as i dont expect the roads to be very wide. the riding posture could be painful only if u go more than 100kms at one go but probably the joy of riding the fastest machine in India overshadows everything else. vibrations in the faring is a issue only as long as u fail to adapt to it(it does irritate in the beginning but i have accepted it now). braking is decent not too good but with time u will know ur limits. mine is 2yrs old now but still makes people to turn their back for another look(but i advise not to get carried away with that), n yes the bike is stable at even speeds of 140-145, i did 147 n still dint feel any stability issues. fazer is crap, avoid it. but do try to fancy the new pulsars

Yes off course I am an Yamaha Fan, (But lets exclude that "Hard" part alone)
Regarding Fazer, yes it is underpowered when compared to P220 and ZMA, but offers a better ride quality than both P220 and ZMA.
600CC Class Front shocks, uniquely designed Mono suspension, 140 Section rear and Mass centralization concept are some instances which I point to say Fazer is a new age bike.
Anyways the Thread starter has ruled it out.

If bajaj is planning to discontinue the existing 220, they will for sure launch something in the budget of 80k-1lakh, bajaj is no fool, it will definitely not leave this segment open to other competitors . you probably have some 2-3 months, for ur best buy start saving some extra bucksOriginally posted by k_tornado_sj View Postyeah i did get the news of upgradation/release of new pulsars , but i am worried if they just release the 250 version with 1lac+ price tag , i will be doomed , my wait will go for nothing , but if i buy P220 right now , i will regret this hasty decision as if the P220 gets some upgrade ,mine will be outdated, man i am so confused , last time when i had to buy P180 , after 2 months P220 came

Offcourse Fazer is a new age bike with all that goodies, but that doesn't prove that it offers better ride quality than P220 or ZMAOriginally posted by HarishK View PostRegarding Fazer, yes it is underpowered when compared to P220 and ZMA, but offers a better ride quality than both P220 and ZMA.

Thread started:
I felt Avenger 220 is little underpowered than P220 and ZMA-R.The front wheel skids on panic breaking. NO doubt on its capabilities on highways but somehow it lacks the punch. Better you can test ride P220, ZMA R and Apache 180 and decide.____________________________
