Ok Nitin, RTR 180 or Pulsar 180, as these have Tubeless in both front as well as real. You may go for RTR 160 (Double Disk also).Originally posted by nitin_23 View PostHello sir , I am new to this website , I am nitn from lucknow, I am 23 years old , 5'6, 69 kg preparing for mba exams. So after riding lml nv for almost 4 years , I convinced my dad to get a bike for me this Diwali
.
So in bike I want these things
1.)Mileage of 40 - 45 - 50 - 55- 60 is Ok for me.
2.) Tubeless tyres in front and rear. Since my dad said bikes doesn't carry extra tyre , so if it got puncture that I have to pull it like hell
. So tubless tyres should be must.
3.)Modern/sporty look. obviously all bikes of today have got this. so nothing to worry about here.
4.) I am not racing freak. However I do ride fast sometimes with scooter
.
Below are bikes which I have shortlisted--->
1.) RTR 160 FI / RTR 180 ABS
(Tell me if there is any difference between RTR 160 and RTR 160 FI)
2.) CBZ xtreme
3.)Pulsar 135/180/150 .I am not interested in Pulsars , since it has become very common nowadays.
4.) Bajaj Discover 150.
One important question is about disc brakes.
I am bit feared of having disc brakes in rear . Because people told me for rear tyre Drum brakes are ok. Disc brakes are bit dangerous for rear.
Is this true??
Also tell me about having a bike with tubeless tyre and with general alloy ones.
Guys please give your views....This Diwali I want something !! I am tired of that old lml nv scooter lol
Thanks
Nitin
I just bought P180, and believe me, it is Rocking. Milage of around 44kmpl and great comfort and control. But as you are 5.6', go for RTR160 Double Disc.Where There is a will, There is a Highway.

CB Unicorn Dazzler is one bike which will suit your needs.- It has got good looks.
- It will give you a decent enough mileage.
- It has tubeless tyres.
- Though, it not sporty machine, it has got the required kicks.
- Being Honda, you can trust it to be a reliable machine.

All bikes vibrate at some or the other rpm in varying degrees. Go through the ownership thread of any bike that you decide to buy to know all the pros and cons. All bikes are good in general these days.Originally posted by nitin_23 View Postsir i heard that RTRs comes with vibration ?? whats up with that?? any big issue?
Do your own research and select a bike that fits your needs the best. Everyone can't have the same expectations from his bike. Choose a bike which suits your needs. People will suggest you the bikes which they themselves would like to own. That may not be what you want.
So, my only suggestion is - do your own research and choose your ride.
Happy hunting, ride safe !! Wear all the riding gear and know the limitations of your bike and your own
Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

apart from looks there is no difference in FZ-16 and S versions.
If your friend has one then test ride her asap.

Yamaha FZ suits all your requirements dude.. Good looks, quality product, Mileage of 40 (if you ride sanely), best handling in 150 cc IMO (in city traffic), At about 76 k on road, its in your budget.Originally posted by nitin_23 View PostAfter my friends request to add Yamaha in list, I had to reconsider again.
So list goes again -->
Max. budget - 65,000 - 75,000 INR.
Desired cc - 150 - 160 - 180 cc
Desired Mileage - 40 -45- 50-55 kmpl
#1 preference to Yamaha - FZ , FZ S(http://www.yamaha-motor-india.com/pr...mg/col-red.jpg) , SZ R(http://www.yamaha-motor-india.com/pr...g/blue-big.jpg)
(looks like uncle type
)
Just got a SZ-R for a friend.. Its basically a detuned FZ engine with commuterish bike looks & easy on pocket (with 65 k on-road & mileage of about 50 km/l) Handling & power not as good as FZ obviously. Old analog meters would bother you too i guess.Originally posted by nitin_23 View Posthow about Yamaha FZ and SZ R ?? my friends just told me about those bikes today !!
Any info. about these bikes sir?
Nope. No difference at all in performance of FZ & FZ-S.. Just a minor difference in visual department with a small front cowl over headlight of FZ-S whic shall cost you 2-3 k more..Originally posted by nitin_23 View Postalso tell me price of Yamaha FZ and FZ S . IMO, not worth it.. Go for FZ16 instead of FZ-s.. You can always get that cowl later on if you want it.
Perfect.. Ride all the bikes in your list once.. I did the same when i wanted to buy.. Tested Honda Unicorn, Honda Stunner, Bajaj 150/220, Suzuki GS150, Apache 160 but finally FZ16 took over my heart in all aspects & hence i overlooked my concern for mileage & booked it..Originally posted by itssaurabh.negi View PostAs one of the xBhpian's signature sasy : " Don't research too much before buying"
