    P220 for long tour absolutely not, If the roads are fine hen no problem , but if its thrasy then a lot of spine pains. Am riding P220 since 10 months and done a lot of tours , its awesome in highways but not for potholes and bad roads..
    ZMA seems more comfortable for touring.. Havent ride Ninja till now.

      i have 06 180 ug3. i bought it for its edgy power gain, compromising on mileage, comfort and handling! a pure drag savvy choice.

      wl i brought the ug3 P180 bcause i feel in love wid its power delivery.
      Bt nw its has started havin probs, n its not as much as parts quality bt its abt stupid BAJAJ service.they r like a bunch of no brainers.
      IMHO i think BABY NINJA gonna hav a rough childhood, cause of such F##k@#g service. HOPE bajaj does somthing abt it.
      Bt honestly I love that bike.infact after i decided to sell it n took test rides of different bikes, i begun to love it even more. Bt a recent break down on a really long trip had my mind changed.

          ^first of all the e oil started leakin,infact draining.luckly was near pune at dat time.went 2 sm PBK there.Man the service guy was like"do u ever service ur bike??". i had my service book wid me.showed him dat i serviced just before leaving for the tour.wl PBK at my place had forgot to replace a damaged gasket(for which they had charged)...so e oil drained. Pune PBK found a piece of GLASS,yep abt 1 sq inces inside the front sprocket cover. had to change the whole chain assembly.n all this after my PBK did a paid service just maybe 300kms before. on top of dat after pune PBK when dey opened the rear wheel saw that the drum brake pads were not fitted as it should be(before leaving for the tour had replaced my brake pads)....on the whole in 6 days i used 3 lts of e-oil.

              @saji: if you let poeple know where you are put up, maybe the mumbai/pune (guessing) guys can help you out with good mechanics.
              i stopped getting servicing done from bajaj after my second itself. never liked/trusted them. i got 3 other local mechanics in hand and they do good job. 2 for mechanics and 1 for electrics.
              my digi speedo got blown some months back and i went to bajaj to get a orig replacement and shelled out 2.5k. and guess what... it is again down. in just a month! grrrr....

              i too fear the same for baby ninja. bajaj people would scr*w up. wonder if yam guys can take a complete ownership of super/sportbikes in india. or if they can atleast lend a servicing hand for ninja.

              personally, i am sticking on to my 180 for now. let the ninja come. and then maybe fz 250cc. and when there are 2/3 250cc+ options, i will choose one.
              recommend zma if you buying now. but how comfortable would you be? how tall, old, pot bellied are you?!

                @shadez We wouldnt have to bother so much about the mechs if we hadnt bought a bajaj in the first place! So its both pathetic a.s.s and shoddy product quality to blame!

                    M 5,8",25 young,n lil bulky(I would happily blame my mirror)
                    As for the ZMA, wl hav made up my mind today...
                    Its a dogfight betwn the P220 n the R15.
                    And since the P220 is from BAJAJ. so m going for the R15!!
                    Pity, bcause i really liked the P220.
                    Neway as touring on the R15 goes, i guess i just need to get
                    accustomed wid it. Loved its suspension n brake feel thou.
                    Booking it today.Ne Suggestion on running in the R15 is really welcomed, cause it would be my first liquid cooled engine.dat 2 a high revin one.

                      Thats it bro. u hv made the right choice...There is no speed limit in running in period but thers a limit in RPM 1st 500KM upto 5K rpm then till 1000KM 7.5 rpm then u can ride as ur own.

                                I won a 180 ug3 myself, 2006. done 40,000 kms +...carbs constanly leakin petrol, silencers gone kaput...already invested close to 30k in reapirs. same situation. but dude wait fr te biggies man...i did the same mistake while buyin my 180, if i had waited for another couple of months i would have been on a 220!!... dont commit the same mistake. I personally am waitng fr something more powerful than a 220. 180 was for power, the next one is goin to be more powerful. ZMA is old now.
                                I had ruled it out then for mileage, its bloddy heart wrenching(around 30 below 40), my 180 gives 45+ any day. even he 220 gives 40+(with ripping).
                                R15 is so damn puny, i am sure there will be some powerful better lookin bikes by the year end.
                                OT- rehman from sk bajaj, vashi, said bajaj is testing a 300/350.!!
                                -- R15 is goin to get a sports kit, where u can upgrade it to 22 bhp!!

                                anythin on those 2??
