Thanx all for the wonderful suggestions. First of all, I am sorry I acould respond you guys spontaneaously since I was out of town and didnt have access to internet.

I noticed one question repeatedly - why not R15. Let me tell you guys I am a great fan of R15 but casnnot go for it because of the pillion riding position. Also P220 came in my list due to this option. Obviously, P220 is not as good as ZMA when pillion position is considered.

But I guess I have made up my mind to wards CBR250. I am all in to raise funds for the same.

Thanks again for helping me decide.

are you considering the c-abs or the standard version?
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
      #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

I would go for the Std version(Non-ABS). Although this safety feature is very important but I wont be able to afford it(already i m streching by budget from 1l to 1.6)

No doubt Duke is a great bike but somehow I like the big bike feel of CBR250.

Thats awesome, 18bhp & 56 km/ltr. But would have to wait till April to get my hands on the CBR150. Now you got me confused between CBR 150 & 250. But after ZMA wont I crave for more power from the 150?

Close your eyes and save up for the CBR 250. You know it's what you want. Any more debate is just mental self-intimacy.

                    To TS,

                    AS other member suggest,

Wait this month or maybe next to experience to launch Duke and other 2012 bajaj pulsar offering, If you not satisfied Go for CBR250 STD eyes closed.

If your heart says C250R you can't satisfy yourself to any other bike no matter how good are they.

                      Hi Sid85

See all three bikes are amazing in look and style specially new CBR 250 its the perfect bike with sporty and killer look but when you see its price tag then all dream get vanish another drawback is this it need high maintenance and resell value is low as its new bike and when you come at Pulsar then what to say about its resell value it as highest resell value and most demanded bike in India and its affordable too. So I would say to buy this Pulsar.

HONDA has better resale value than bajaj.if you buy a superbike and want to maintain it in mint condition you have to shell out some bucks.

No doubt all the three bikes are good looking in their segment, but somehow I have a soft corner for Hona & Yamie. Cant go for R15 due to some reasons, so opted for CBR.

You are right, when you want to ride an elephant, you also need to feed it. Also I own a ZMA, so I don't think it would be very dificult for me to maintain CBR.

i too like those bikes which have considerable road road presence.but can't ignore naked ride's practicality.

                                Similar confusion

                                Hey Guys,

This is my first post on xbhp...have already found it very very informative...
I am in big confusion right now..I have been riding my Bajaj Discover 125 since 2006...did over 50000 kms...& now I have already sold my bike...

I want to upgrade to bigger bike - My choices are P220 & CBR250R...
I would love to have CBR, but price is a bit high, although I can stretch my budget...P220 is almost half a price & decent performer...
I stay in Mumbai, & most probably would be relocating in June in city of outside Maharashtra for my job..so I would be taking my bike along..

I do have a habit of touring over weekends once every couple of months...otherwise my daily commute in city would be on average 30 kms..

As I have already sold my discover, I am looking for less waiting period while buying a new one now..can't live without riding...

I am very much novice about big bike engineering...so would be definitely want to learn a lot on xbhp..specially maintaining & repairs part...

Considering all what I said, What do you suggest P220 or CBR 250R?
                                Sorry for long post..
