if your monthly ruuning is around 100-120 kms,you should not crib about mileage or else you will miss out on the fun of riding.twister's build quality is top notch,your height will not pose problem.stunner is not at all vfm.if unicorn's waiting period bothers you try dazzler,it has less waiting period.i don't think ss125,sz-r,fz shares internal parts.ss 125 is neither rare nor common.yamaha has considerable service back up,so don't worry about spares.
my 2 cents pick apache,fz or any other 150 cc for for riding fun .i would have suugested you p135,which would have been suitable for you,but apparently bajaj is coming up with p150,which well be hell of vfm.

SS125 is a good bike and you do find spares for it but not outside, you will have to approach yamaha SVC itself. Its better too since you can be sure of quality of original spare parts.

But since you ride only 150km a month I think you can spend a little more and buy Unicorn, or if your budget is 75k then SZ is a good choice too, there are more SZ+FZ out there and getting part for these will be easier even 5yr later too. Also I get around 45-48kmpl mileage average considering I travel in jam packed traffic. Even I had decided on a 125cc SS or Honda Shine before, but after test drive of SZ I preferred this bike.

& yes ss125 is RARE in my city...Thane(have just seen 3 bikes till now),,my other friends from delhi,Chennai, banglore told me that its not rare/common bike in those cities..but can be located easily..

You are right, as i don't drive much...i should not think about mileage..
But increasing petrol prices makes me think about it..
it is big PAIN..

Apache actually gives around 40-45+, those who are getting 50 would be actually riding in some town or some city or area with very less traffic and less braking/gear changes. Its an amazing bike, but it does vibrate a lot!
FZ's give less mileage its around 38-42, but SZ gives around 50.
As for your SS125 concerns, this bike is really durable, many have taken it across state borders, but in case if you face difficulty finding some authorized service center give a call to 1800-420-1600 (yamaha tollfree 8am-4pm)

weight 73 Kgs (average built)

heard that apache has sporty sitting which can give us back pain??
they say it is not for tall guys..

VIBRATION>>>

can i avoid them ?

apache is in and out fun to ride bike.well your built is suited for apche,people who says this bike is not for tall guys are bull-shitting,and coming to the forward-biased riding position,firstly you will find it awkward,you will get used to it with gradual riding.well little vibration creeps in above 4500k rpm range,you will get used to it and eventually forget it after you start enjoying it's power and sharp handling.well fe will be around 45+.spares are reasonably priced,not at all costly.my suggestion pick rtr 180 rather than hyperedge.reason>tube-less tyres,better handling,less vibration, white colour option and cool looking blue back-lit speedo

Yes, tires are not good,,i agree but can be changed later...
180 costs 8 k more than 160
i don't like white color..so will not be buying that..( it costs 2 k extra i guess)
Vibrations issue can change person to person.. for ex. who has ridden Unicorn might feel it vibrates..
for a new user like me..may be i will be just okay with it,..

btw vibrations do come at 60 KMPH or 70KMPH?? or it depends on RPM?

so go with hyperedge and save money,use that money in switching to better tyres[ofcourse tube-less one].generally vibe comes after rpm needle crosses 4500k mark so ideally speed should be around 70.but vibe vanishes after that.i guess rtr 160 refresh model costs lower than the hyper-edge[which is merely a sticker job].check that at dealership.happy motoring.

I want to keep this bike for at least 6-7 years..
can i trust on TVS's quality compared to BAJAJ Pulsar??

well tvs is anyday more reliable than bajaj.if you want to keep this for atleast 6-7 years then you have to take care of it with time to time oil changing,air filter cleaning,break pad changing,chain lubing ,carb cleaning and other required services.but for 6-7 years peaceful ownership i would suggest yamaha or honda.it's not that tvs is not reliable,but yamaha and honda excels in this reliability dependent.

^^ I really wonder how you arrived at the conclusion TVS is better than Bajaj in quality, sounds really funny. Provided that you do all that you mentioned any bike will last for a life time.

TS.. you could take a look at GS150R, you will get good power/decent looks/mileage will also meet your requirements. I'm not sure how good is Suzuki service/spares availability in your area. Would have gone on and suggested Disco 150/P135LS, but looking at your list it does appear that you don't like Indian brands that much.

As per your selection, SS125 is a great bike, but I don't think it meets your requirement in mileage. (saying this on hearsay.. generally, I haven't seen SS125 owners giving 50+ numbers on mileage). Other than that it's a great bike.
