i am afraid to say that r15 ver 1 ,even ver 2 has lost its exclusivity on road ,at least in our locality.if want traffic magnet ,exclusivity you better go with dukeOriginally posted by discover View Postand the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

dont keep budget as the only criteria.. the bikes you have selected are like an art and commercial cinema... both are altogether different and thats what everyone is saying...Originally posted by discover View Post( in my budget of 1.4lks) thats one of the reason i shortlisted R15 and RE
Read the respective threads of these bikes and see what appeals you more and you find closer to your heart and pocket

my words are highlighted.Originally posted by siddharth_ZMR View PostNothing offensive to you or R15... but today you find nearly equal no. of R15, ZMR and less of RE on road (because of the fear of probable high maintenance) ... thats my observation in Pune and doesnt necessarily hold true always...
holds true for kolkata also.
My 2 cents... buy the bike whos looks you like.. the moment you stride and ride a bike that you love .. people would turn and see... because you will ride it in a way no other person would... A bike is as beautiful as the rider wants it to be,..
actually i have a different perspective of riding bike.i don't ride for the crowd on road ,i don't expect people to praise my ride for beauty, aesthetics.i ride for myself.when i used to ride passion, nobody gave a damn about what i rode because passion is too uncle-ish,but did that non-chlanace of people bother me?never dude, cause i was busy enjoying my ride.
Stick to what your heart says and you will never regret it...
as someone said it is always brainy to go with your heartand the question remains why do i race?

.i just wanted to highlight the point for people who are actually forgetting the core meaning of riding.
and the question remains why do i race?

see i understand you want exclusivity,so with your budget you can go for duke.it will be good for commuting considering its pick-up,agility,handling.but mileage will[may] disappoint you.you can tour with it,although people are saying that being naked it can't tour.but normally touring speed vary in between 80-90 kmph, which is unaffected by wind-blast on highways, pillion seat is small though but comfortable.so if you are not bothered by regular visit to petrol bunk you are more than welcome to buy dukeOriginally posted by discover View Post@sayank10 and siddharth_ZMR Thanks for responding, i appreciate your time.. Finally let me know in your views which is that one bike i should go with for my requirements....

I would repeat what other guys have said here. no matter what you buy. sooner or later it would lose its novelty and whatever you paid for would not last. if you buy a bike after riding and knowing what makes its special for you then you would enjoy it for years to come. its more like the difference between a trophy wife and a soul mate!
good luck

Took a test ride of R15 V2 today at Orion motors bangalore.. Totally impressed with the bike.. now i am thinking to cancel my RE booking and book R15... i have liked the anniversary edition white and red but the showroom guy is suggesting not to go for it as after some time we may not get the spare parts of it (he meant if anything is damaged its difficult to get the new one).. so now thinking which color to go with

^^ I think you should go for R15 V2. It's a great bike and a perfect upgrade from usual 125/150 cc bikes in India.
Though the pillion seat is small but can easily be outweighed by the pros of the bike. A small price that ur pillion has to pay for a great ride
