New bike or used bike

I think you should go for a loan and get a R15, don't go for used bike. According to me an used joelled fazer doesn't make sense because it won't satisfy you mentally no matter how good the tunning is, nothing beats stock performance, its best and reliable. So its better get a bike which has all your requirements and have fun, you won't regret.Originally posted by w4rrior View Postsayank, truth is even if tvs come up with the most reliable mill, i wouldn't buy apache. I don't know why but it ain't my thing.

well thanks sir, now i'm considering a new bike and visual mods on that.Originally posted by aargee View PostFirst of all why do you want to mod? More power? I've seen people riding Twister & smoking out even R15's on roads. Modding the vehicle is only 5%, the remaining 95% is on the rider himself. i don't engage myself in street races, but i want the mods to makes my bike unique from others' Instead of spending on modding the vehicle, spend it on education. It will help you in long run no matter you ride a Fazer or FZ1.
+100... for that, after all it's my parents hard earned money
This is all I got to say, I usually don't poke my nose into thread where people say I've 1L in hand & what should I buy; to me its like going to a hotel & asking the bearer, I've Rs 100 in hand & what should I eat?
All the best if you go for a new or old ride; remember to ride safe & ride hard.
@harishmenace, thanks for the advice and about r15, hmm... i don't wanna eat up my parents bank a/c and i don't earn.TVS Apache 200 RTR 4v (2019-Forever)

Drop the SIR, RG is fine.Originally posted by w4rrior View Postwell thanks sir, now i'm considering a new bike and visual mods on that
Remember there's 100 different ways to mod, engine mod is just one of them.
FZ16 is a good choice for touring; insure yourself with good riding gears in addition to visuals & ensure not to void the warranty.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

There's no point in buying a used Fazer and getting it modified. Stock bike has its own originality which is completely lost when you apply mods. I would but recommend some mods which are not related to engine and would be practically helpful like fitting P220 projector headlamps. Personally I don't like engine mods with roaring sounds. I would recommend strectch your budget by 5-6K and buy a Fazer. When you can spend 80K, you can spend 86K too since you like the bike. Pulsar 200NS was a good option but would have to extend more and depends on your personal liking. If you can't strectch then RTR180/160Fi would be a good option. Also look at GS-150 if you want in your budget.Whats there in a signature?

discontinued.Originally posted by Enthusiastic View Postthen RTR180/160Fi would be a goodand the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
#overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Hello,
Buying a new bike and altering it is not a good idea. You can go for a new one enjoy the stock ride for 20k+ Kms and then go for the alteration which ever you wish to have because while driving you will get a experience and feel of the bike. You will also get a clear idea of what all has to be altered.
Or if you want a bike that has to be altered immediately go for a second hand one with clear documents...Yamaha RX100 (1993)

Like its bikes which rarely get updated, TVS is also lazy in updating their website. Fi has been discontinued more than a year back.Originally posted by aargee View PostMind double checking - Features of TVS Apache RTR FI 160
